New Restaraunt At Wroxham Bridge

The Bridge restaraunt to be replaced by a two storey building ,let's hope it will not be ultra modern and in keeping with the bridge .?

One of the first places we ever sampled local fayre back in the 70's it was very handy being next to the P&H Boatyard. Hopefully, but have my doubts it will add to the area.

The Waterside café and tearoom at Rollesby, near Great Yarmouth, is an extremely pleasent, quality venue albeit a tad pricey. Probably the right formula for Wroxham. I'd go, at least once.

I've always liked the Bridge, when we had big family holidays in the late 70's / early 80's it was always the venue for our last night bash.

Looks like an improvement, at least visually. Wroxham really is in need of a good tidy up in places.

Whilst the building is better than I expected, it is sad to see another piece of modern Architecture, removing some of the history of Wroxham. The Removal of all the boat sheds to be replaced by the Identikit houses the other side of the road and now the old cafe, soon you won't realise you are in Wroxham / Hoveton it will look the same as anywhere else but with a river running through it.

I think Hoveton is kinda ruined from the "historic" point of view by the Roy's complex anyway and to me, although pleasant, is already as you say - a modern town/village with a river running through it. To be honest given the building that is going on in the area there is not much hope for any improvement - Wroxham will become a suburb of Norwich and all the housing/architecture will look the same. There will be no nod to localism. Sad.
