Hylander
Maud spent some time at Hardley Mill for the summer solstice. She is one smart looking Wherry.
vanessan
Maud is going to be at Hardely Mill for much of the summer apparently. Does rather cut down on the available mooring there!
JennyMorgan
Any boats moored there cuts down on the available moorings there!! I rather like the thought of Maud being alongside the mill, after all she was initially rebuilt by a millwright.
vanessan
I don't disagree with that sentiment, it was just an observation as Maud does take up a fair bit of room! Looking at the mill with Maud moored at the pontoon is a very pleasant sight, especially if there are no other boats moored.
JennyMorgan
Maud & Hardley Mill, probably the most iconic image in Broadland right now! Re moorings, just moor alongside her .

marshman
And of course I think it was the same millwright who did Harley who restored Maud - the late Vincent Pargeter which explains the link. After being at Hardley, Maud will be lifted out at Goodchilds for survey and some remedial work, but I can think of a more iconic wherry....!!!! marshman
Would but she is far too busy to sit still, she has to earn her keep!! Fortunately!!
Poppy
Of course, Marshy has connections to one - but not the other. BOTH are worthy of support, given their different construction tchniques.
Labrador
Surely Maud is iconic, as she represents a typical trading wherry, in that the majority were of clinker construction rather than Albions carvel construction.

And, of course, Maud is a Norfolk built wherry. . Albion lead the way in Wherry restoration, we mustn't forget that.
