That’s definitely the design feature that was in Chloe Jane or are sailies that different? Sailies are different Sam. The planks are narrower so we tend to have bacon sandwiches instead

Polly
Actually I am questioning whether we can go on sanding and smoothing and go back to varnish as she was originally. .... or Deks Olje, even, it has lasted years on our dinghy.
Polly
Ah as you were, Deks Olje and caulking are not happy together. So varnish... that would be Brava from what I have seen.
Polly
We will be in the market for sanding serfs at some point no doubt, ‘genteel’ bacon sandwiches provided.

Brava - Yes, full strength but only for the final coat (Number six) The five prior to that should be Ravalakk increasing the mix strength as you go Griff

BroadAmbition
It'll do for a rag-n-stick Griff 1
Polly
Griff is a big believer in reducing weight on a saily; witness removing the not too heavy outboard on a 4 ton boat on the 3RR
Polly
A good step forward. The port side planking has mostly been hung by Whelptons. We have a wait now to build up more in the restoration fund before the next professional input. We will be priming new wood and varnishing cockpit area during the last two weeks in September. Staying in the caravan on their CL site will really help.
