Guest Jayfire
And shame on you for driving my blog into a mess of nonsense, booze and.....well, maybe later for the rest
NorfolkNog
The Grebe is certainly not a pub for the faint of heart but definitely an experience

SwanR
Morning Jay, Have a lovely day wherever it takes you. I don’t currently have access to my stash of pub photos so my very uneducated guess for this round is The Ship.
Guest Jayfire
No sorry Jean, no answers have been correct yet. Beautiful morning here though, absolute bliss
Guest Jayfire
So number 1 is still unanswered 20 hours ago, Jayfire said: And here is number 2 to mull over... I've had a lovely morning, but I've had my wrists slapped so hard today. Apparantly I'm too cheeky and have to pack it in!!!!!!! Me!!!!!! Guest Jayfire
Well, as some enjoy fine company, strawberries and champagne tonight, others are having to "endure" the outside entertainment and lager at the New Inn
SwanR
Ok this is still not as scientific as I would like but ... I think number 1 is The Duke's Head Somerleyton. Number 2 I have no idea but find it slightly ironic that you posted a photo with a sign for different kinds of extinguishers, if that's what it is. So a complete guess of The Dog at Ludham. Ooh Jean I do love your Christmas spirit, your attempts and how you really try to join in with my mindless games. Neither are anywhere near correct but I'd kiss you for trying I wonder if anyone knows where I've been that could possibly work this out
OldBerkshireBoy
I don`t play the game as those that do know, however could the clue be in the picture above the sign in No.2 rather than the sign.
Guest Jayfire
Right then, where was I?..... Tuesday 28th July I woke up in Potter Heigham, almost opposite the Herbert Wood's entrance to their yard. The kids were spending endless hours entertained by the antics of boats entering, exiting and generally being all over the river. I on the other hand needed a few coffee's to try and settle my nerves of the maneuvers potentially affecting my boat I took the dog for a walk and then went around the village to sort a few bits of business for myself before I was setting off and making my way down the Thurne River I took a right turn to head along Womack Dyke as I knew the kids had emptied the water with endless showers and soon I approached the staithe As it turned out, I couldnt get anywhere near the water point without hanging around....something I just don’t do, and so I retraced my steps back out onto the Thurne and then the Bure towards Wroxham After a brief drop off for water along the way, it was a passage through Wroxham Bridge and a stern moor on the Hoveton St John moorings, before a walk for the dog led me into the Kings Head A few beers to refresh myself and we found ourselves in the Hotel Wroxham to watch the river.....and a beer. Or two And then a slow walk back to the boat in the evening sunshine And after a few more beers it was an end to another wonderful day aboard

YnysMon
So, it was The Kings Head. Not visited, and not somewhere that appeals to us unfortunately. Nice location though.

KatieR
Honestly I'd no idea...have been feeling a bit left out of this pub game of yours as sadly I can't actually remember the last time I was inside a pub...But a flash of inspiration came in the form of your post and there it is...winner of a round. Is there a prize?
KatieR
Sorry- delay in my post...youngest child just hurling in his bed How quick is the fall from winner in this game?!
YnysMon
Me too. We’ve been avoiding pubs, but also cafes etc. I know that’s not good for the local economy, so we have been trying a few takeaways.
Guest Jayfire
No worries Katie, there may be celebratory drinks all round coming to a pub near you soon..... And I'm a very bad influence, so you'll not be able to talk yourself out of it And Helen...have I taught you nothing yet?

Oh, this may well be the start of something I’m not sure a stab in the dark is quite my style- I need to be a bit more sure before I can enter the competition- it’s clearly quite hotly contested! And prize....oooh I don’t know....anything so long as it is not chocolate (I need to loose some lockdown weight!)....

I guess it comes down to just who wants it more. And who has told you such nonsense as you need to lose weight?? Nobody I'm sure, infact I'm sure a man would completely set his lens to get a snap at your figure as you walked on by daring not to look over. Strawberries and champagne for a prize then??? Or gin??? Or something else?
KatieR
Oh I'm definitely no competition for Helen or CC! And I shall not glory on my one round win too much, it wouldn't be distasteful, but champers has less calories than gin, so I shall look forward to a glass of that when I next spot you cruising by
