grendel
How about placing it on Hydraulic platforms, then the condition of the stonework can be more easily inspected ( as well as allowing a lift to get more boats through the bridge.)
Hylander
Well I never did. Yes could work over here just as long as whoever runs the railways at Reedham Bridge and Somerleyton are not in charge , else it would not be running if the sun came out for more than 2 hours or it was under 1 degree.
Wonderwall
It's a means to an end, and a fantastic pieces of engineering. But also it's a monstrosity

SteveO
Clever piece of kit, Add a couple of strategically placed rotating brushes and you could get your bottom scrubbed as it goes. Sadly, I think there would be a long queue of worthy folks who would do anything to avoid lot more smelly diesel-powered boats scaring the birds and generally spoiling the peace and serenity of Hickling broad and Horsey Mere. Still, we can dream,

FairTmiddlin
Tim could have done with a trip on that! Mind you shouting vociferously, after meeting with the bedsheet brigade going to Beccles, from the week before he was sporting nearly the whole bed (admittedly below the waterline)
