Incident in Potter Heigham

Has anyone heard anything about something happening to a lady in her 70s on a boat in Potter Heigham? I caught the back end of the news earlier but missed most of the story.

saw 2 police cars and a paramedic car at phoenix yard as we passed at 445 pm

My wife who heard partially more of the news than I did thought the news report said a lady in her 70s had a cardiac event and fell off a boat (may not be correct) but is being treated so hopefully the lady is ok.

Hi, Yes this is correct, we saw the air ambulance fly in and out.  A women in her 70's was airlifted to hospital after failing from a boat, she had a cardiac arrest and was resuscitate.   Glad to hear that she was ok : )

Sadly this is now reported as a fatal and the lady didn't make it.

Very very sad but if its any consolation, try to think of it like this...

 

When my time comes I pray for it to be quick, painless and to happen in a place I love, doing the thing I love.

 

So, a heart attack whilst boating on the broads. I could ask no more.

 

The tragedy is for those left behind, but I hope they can see it this way. I'm sure they will in time.

It was obviously someone's Mum , Grandma , wife, sister, etc.     I know what you mean M M but as you say it is folk left behind and my heart goes out to them all.

How tragic, I shed a tear when I read of the husbands brave attempts to save his wife and then not to want to leave her, my thoughts are with that poor man and his family

Only just caught up with this sad news. How sad for the husband and family at the tragic accident of this lady. Our heart felt sympathy goes out to the family.
