BroadAmbition
I really do need to get this buttoned up, timings etc. I have a few phone call to make to do so, at present struggling to get home during working hours though. Hopefully today or Monday / Tues and I'll get it finalised. Thanks, Griff
Baitrunner
thanks Griff. Just realised it was catching me up!! It's that 4 letter word again. I am sure a lot of people on here find it offensive, but some of us have to work to pay their pensions

Baitrunner
Damn shame but you can't delay the old hospital appointment. Never know when it will get re booked. Keep In touch and maybe we can organise a little GY to Lowestoft trip? Nice and easy and done over a weekend and gives us a salty tasting!! BroadAmbition
Ok, I should have some positive news this evening, I have at last made some time during working hours (If everyone worked my hours it would have been so much easier) and have been in touch with a few authorities and am waiting on confirmation of details. More to follow. There are still a few places available for passengers wanting a sea trip onboard MTB102 on the Thursday 21st, sailing at 0900 at a cost of £30 per head (Paid on the day to MTB's Skipper) Griff
BroadAmbition
Morning, Ok - I have been in touch with Gt Yarmouth HM, Gt Yarmouth Council, Mercury News, Anglia ITV, MTB102 - All with positive news. (Have I missed anyone?) The Navy News will be in attendance also but I've not had to organise that one. I've now got a stack of e-mails to wade through plus update the Commanding Officers of Explorer and Trumpeter. I need to contact OBYS ref locking times / appointments with regards to Mutford lock, plus check bridge heights / opening times of Lowestoft Bridge. I had to work late and did not get in til 2145 so they will have to wait until tomorrow lunchtime. I'm hoping you skippers that need a lift at Haven Bridge can organise this one yourselves, but hang fire as I hope to have some news re berth availability at Town House Quay for Wednesday overnight for those that want it. I have spoke with Jonzo re procuring a large dress NBN flag that I hope to get up MTB102's mast sometime during proceedings, talking of flags LR is at last on with securing a new replacement house flag for 'B.A' the present one not only is very tatty and past it's best but is now out of date so that needs sorting now asap - LR is on with it. Just to add to the pressure teatime today I need to pop down to visit 'B.A' for an overnight visit, back home Wednesday pm. Then I have another window of opportunity to deal with various outfits Thursday morning before Thursday from lunchtime for the rest of the day I have to be at Donny Races courtesy of The Yorkshire Tile company. Friday - stripping out a bathroom followed be three estimates in the evening. Saturday work, Sunday - Clay shooting. Oh and MrsG has stated if I don't visit the barbers PDQ then one of these mornings I will wake up with a nasty surprise! (I so very nearly said I do most mornings but was not brave enough) It's certainly all go at my end as per the norm. I need a secretary! More to follow Griff P.S - Just to cap things off nicely, MrsG informs me this evening that our 18 month old washing machine has malfunctioned AAARRGGHHH !!!! FairTmiddlin
Missed off BBC look east And BBC Radio Norfolk (01603 617321) Radio should also inform newsroom for TV as in same offices.
grendel
Griff - most washing machines nowadays have sophisticated circuitry in them and wont spin properly if the load is unbalanced - we had problems with stuff coming out wet - until we found that to spin properly it had to have a minimum of about 1/3 of a load in the machine - in the cases where this has happened in the past we have just thrown a couple of towels in as well and things have worked fine. so if it was a minimal load, it may just have not had enough washing in it to spin properly. (I hope that sorts the issue).
BroadAmbition
Grendel - unfortunately not as simple, there is power into the machine but it is not showing on the PCB or display / control panel Griff
grendel
ah - ok -not so easy to fix, are there any fuses on the pcb? - either that or its the power regulator circuit that reduces the voltage for the PCB. we had an early washer drier many years back and that went through several pcb's and the voltage went up from 6V to 12V to 24V on the pcb, all because of a badly designed connector between the PCB and the rest of the machine. BroadScot
If its a Hotpoint or Indesit, the filter can play up if its a washer drier. The machine works, but not all the programme cycles. As much as I worked on the older models, I now l save the modern machines to the appointed agents for them to repair. Hope you get it sorted soon Griff. Baitrunner
Thanks Griff. - Now just that damn washing machine to sort out!!! I will probably aim for about 6pm to moor up to give them time to get sorted. Who do we need to get permission from for the mooring? Do you know bridge lift/lock slot you are aiming for at Lowestoft? I am still undecided whether to come back that way or via GY.
