  1. Hi Simon, she went to Herbert woods after castle craft but has been in private hands for the last 15 years, named 'D'Laine' (I met David and Elaine who had named her a few weeks ago) then 'lady D'Laine'
  2. Spot on Dan, cheers. Hoseasons are struggling to get the correct images loaded in the correct order but are working on it... Swiftway has a white hull with grey band, she has had a major refit with new flooring throughout, and toilets, new worktops in galley and heads, new mattresses and upholstery throughout, she will also have a inverter and 240v system, we have just about finished her now and will be launching tomorrow so should get a photo or two, Tideway was, as you say Absolute Freedom, she is out entertaining a friend over Christmas but will be subject to a fair amount of work before hire next year, this should include new flooring throughout, new cooker, new fridge, new toilets, new galley doors new shower worktops and sinks, plus a fair bit of work on the canopy. she is a well built boat, she will have a bow thruster fitted and charger, inverter and 240v system. There is another boat which I have spoken about for a while now but Jomaric which is a 1948 windboat will be ready for April, I don't have any photos of her which I have permission to use so I am having trouble advertising her, she is in the shed having been completely revarnished, new galley, toilet, shower, upholstery and flooring, she has a modern engine and new canopy.

do you want to buy a really good one and keep it nice or a slightly rough one and upgrade it over time? let me know when you decide what to do, i have a few owners and purchasers i occasionally manage to put together, i don't normally charge commission as I don't work hard at it but like to help where i can. I also have one mooring available for a boat up to 32' (as well as one side on up to 46')
  5. Norfolk boat hire http://www.norfolkboathire.co.uk they deliver boats to most of Hornings riverside properties.
  6. Hello Quayline, is there any info on the Q50? I have some stock and parts for the sealine T50 including engine / electrical parts and a set of patio doors, let me know if you would like to know what parts i have which are specific to your build or suitable. I could do a package good luck with your venture.
  7. I hope to have a new design finished for August but still a long way to go,
  8. Thanks for the replies, I had a feeling from wikipedia that it was independent of the main rivers but I want to draw a map with colour coded rivers and didn't want to get it wrong! I will have to have a look at Slutten's Dyke I had never heard of it, I was down the Waveney for a few days a few weeks ago, alas, i will have to check it out next time. Cheers, Clive
  9. Ok, this is probably a stupid question but I can't work out what river the new cut is on or is it neither the Waveny or the Yare and just the 'Haddiscoe cut' can anyone shed the light on this for me Cheers.
  10. Yes, had been at Wayford for years, very poor state as you said..
  11. you won't see Crestella again, I took this before it was broken up earlier this year...
  12. I wasn't going to mention him but i think Trambo has got about right!
  13. Hi Andy, I am pretty sure they were but I can't recall the name, they were bought back to Stalham and refitted.
  14. they all have jobs lined up or are currently working, Oyster has been taking on 100 new staff every 6 months since they moved to to Tunstead, its not really news any more, i know a few good people there.
  15. I think with every design of boat there is a compromise, either height and views over lower bridges or upper helms and loss of interior space, walk round beds/ coffin beds, separate toilets and showers or loads of beds, aft well, engine out back etc etc.. Stalham won't be building for a little while i doubt but there is a Monaco which is nearly finished.
  16. Most of the same original team will hopefully be building the new moulds, we start on Monday, it's a personal venture and we are out on a limb a bit, but its what we as a team want to do so we are all taking a bit of a risk, but have decided that in life you have to do interesting things which you can take pride in and what makes you happy. Ferry marina and Richardsons used the same designer for their boats, the team who built the Richardson's moulds and boats had massive input from the point of development, this time we are using a different designer, but previously the brief was to make a boat with a sloping sheer line which will pass under Potter Heigham and Wroxham bridges. I have better ideas these days about what we need and where the problems are and the team has (unwittingly at times) been involved with design from day one.
  17. Hi Andy, Yes, my Daughter was born on the 16th October and we started on Monday the 19th, thats how I remember her birthday! Over the years we had built from scratch a superb set up muddling through quite a bit of it while setting up and evolving but the Team I had were awesome and a really talented bunch, they are in my opinion some of the most experienced skilled people in the business and will no doubt be successful in their chosen paths.
  18. Yep, Sad but true, nearly 11 years of good times and onto build number 48. Hopefully some exciting news pretty soon, also I have a new project being started.
  19. There was a massive 'CB Antenna' on one of the sheds Stalham, i wonder was that part of the Jenners system or an independent system?
  20. Raisena was fun to sail before the new rig was put on her, after that we all lost interest a bit.. When I bought Ladybird she needed new sails which she got, she is a lovely thing to go about on and is a pleasure to sail and not uncontrollable, so when the mast broke i was very careful not to damage the sails as i knew the rig was right for the boat. i think the crossbow rig was a bit of a nightmare..
  21. I don't have a share of Raisena anymore, she was sold to one of your neighbours on Oulton Broad.. I have had Ladybird for a few years now, has been subject to a fair bit of work including a new mast which was snapped on the year we were going to wim 3RR. !
