  1. I doubt that you do, marshman, but with a dog and sometimes Grand/GreatGrandChildren onboard we find that we need a bank-side mooring.
  2. That is another problem, Dave.... just where can you moor in the Summer oop North? We just won't go there in the school hols and even from Easter onward it is getting difficult to find a boozer friendly mooring at times. Horning and Wroxham come particularly to mind, especially at weekends.
  3. Surprisingly enough there are quite a few bottle banks around, Peter. I presume they virtually pay for themselves??
  4. Thanks for the several emails you kindly responded to yesterday when I was trying to book a date and your response above. You quite correctly told me that I'd copied and pasted the TNBNET2015 in and it needed back-spacing as it was incorrectly positioned. We're now "go" and look forward to seeing you soon!
  5. Take-away pizzas, Peter, whatever are they? We only cook sausages, steaks and bacon onboard!
  6. Doug, so very sorry but I inadvertently clicked edit instead of quote when I just replied to your last post.
  7. I really think we "might have a problem", Peter... Just how can we "adjust our ways", please? Grace, you can put a ring around that statement.... In red, white and blue, if you wish! What I and I'm sure many others would like to see is the fat cats expenses for overseas trips to twin our towns (or whatever you call it) and the like rather than the cuts which can have a huge impact on peoples lives, highly unlikely
  8. You are missing my point, Peter... you try going oop North for a month in April/May and see how it affects you.
  9. Hear! Hear! Neil you've nailed it.............. Other memorable songs I remember included “Space Oddity,” “Heroes,” “Changes,” “Under Pressure,” “China Girl,” “Modern Love,” “Rebel, Rebel,” “All the Young Dudes,” “Panic in Detroit,” “Fashion,” “Life on Mars,” “Suffragette City” and a 1977 Christmas medley with Bing Crosby. What a guy.
  10. Roy & Diane aren't the only ones, Grace..............
  11. From 1980 we went to Earls' Court every year and did just that, Andy, for the next 20 years or so! Our old Freewaed 30 was almost completely refurbished with "Boat Show Specials! One visit to the new venue a few years ago was enough...................
  12. Roy & Diane, to assuage concerns I'd like to change the title of this so that it will also reflect Ray (Boatingman)'s suggestion. Hope you don't mind? Something like: "Where you can leave waste on The Broads"
  13. Do we really need two threads on the same subject? Probably not
  14. Monica, Hi. My concern is that there will be little or no facilities left for us and others to use. Reports may well show what was happening and Roy & Diane's EDP article shows what is happening; however neither helps out as to just what will we be able to do. As I can't and don't condone any type of fly tipping then I am left with few options but to consider our Broads future.
  15. The problem is, Roy & Diane, that you can only keep so much waste on a boat. Even with just the two of us in our Alpha 35, we produce a small bag of waste every few days. We usually go off for up to a month at a time and there just isn't anywhere to hygienically store the bags. In another thread on this topic there are many references to laws and types of waste which are interesting enough but don't solve our problem. To us it is a real worry about what we will do this coming season and the two facilities at Irstead and Neatishead are so close that we usually visit both within a couple of days. I hope it just isn't the final straw for us..... seriously.
  16. Ditto since 4 o'clock... and have a Great Day, Eric!
  17. Great news, Poppy, how many is that now?
  18. Definitely a jet wash but DO remember to firmly close ALL the windows!
  19. I too can't understand it, Monica. I use Rain-Alarm on my computers/Androids and it frequently just makes a nonsense of what the weather forecast is saying right then: http://www.rain-alarm.com/
