  1. The showers at Beccles & Oulton Broad should be in a Museum. I know things move slowly in East Anglia, but hello its 2016 ! Iain
  2. To ALL members, please choose pics carefully of your younger days. Up to six months old is more than acceptable. We don't want members going all funny peculiar. Some already are ! Iain
  3. Oh dear Stuart what have you done !!! Watch your BP Gracie, its an OLD pic a VERY old pic! There that's better, you can calm down now ! Iain
  4. It was school parties I first encountered on the Broads. Teachers taking their turn at staying onboard, while the others enjoyed a light libation. I would hazzard a guess, many of those same kids have over the years been with their mates on a boating holiday. However, I have stood chatting to lads on a stag outing, who were actualy interested in places to visit. I agree today its a get pickled quick with the strongest booze available, not a good idea for the liver etc! I was young once, we ALL were, and I still am, in mind if not in body. What happened to Monica was deplorable. Sadly these things happen, but let's hope they are isolated incidents. Iain
  5. One word, Frank, .......Tolerance.......or the lack of it, IMHO. Iain
  6. Palma Nova, Mandy, nice n flat there. Just make sure you arrange being assisted on arrival at the airport - save your back - as Palma Airport is a route march otherwise ! Iain
  7. Agreed, Jean. Chill out Alan, or it aint a holiday ! Iain
  8. Hi Labrador, This is a IP problem, and hopefully it will be resolved in the fullest of time. Please stay, nine years is along time on any Forum, so a wee wait till its repaired, can't be a I must leave scenario, surely? Cheers, Iain

  14. You should have no problem spotting them, they will be peely wally white or bright crimson red in colour, they only escaped recently. Iain
  15. Sorry, my fault. If you read the where are the Avatars I joked this morning saying they were on holiday.....nothing sinister I can asure you. Iain
  16. So that's where the Avatars are just now !
  17. Must have been a mini break holiday, Eric
  18. Strueth Eric, you are correct, now mine has gone on holiday !
  19. There are moorings at Wroxham, granted it depends how busy with boats out at Brinks and NBD add the moorings through the bridge - yes I know lots are too big to go through - add what is left beyond the railway bridge, there still are moorings. If you are a first timer perhaps they did not realise they can use the boatyards there? Perhaps some expect not to have to walk into the shops etc. We had moorings outside The Kings Head, but the last tine I was there, not a mooring ring or post was there. I agree though, advertising it as the capital of the broads, and not backing it up with the moorings for hirers etc, is possibly not a good idea. Iain
  20. Perhaps its a job for WildFuzz! . Mine, so far on my Tablet, has not disappeared !
  21. Once upon a time, the NBN members had pretty pictures or such like next to there written word, Avatars. Sadly for now, they have gone into the great big computer world of wonder where they are. Its a wee quirk of the last update, so Admin informed us all. So basically, please be patient folks, I am sure in the fullest of time, they will all return from their HOLIDAYS ! Iain
