  2. I have to agree with Eric regarding Anstruther.http://www.anstrutherfishbar.co.uk I have a reaction to fish sometimes, but did try the fish there and it was superb. For value for money the Bridlington chippies F & C are hard to beat. However, people come from all over the world come to our local down the harbour! http://www.maccallumsoftroon.co.uk/the-oyster-bar/ Billy Connely and Rod Stewart are regular customers when in the UK. Any fish that is deep fried still with the skin on and not prooerly flllited is a no no to me! Iain.
  3. You have taken the ribbing in good part , Robin, but I have to agree with Grendel, a certain Yorkie, will use it in his jokes vocabulary, as and when. Now where have I heard that expression before? Iain
  4. Mickey, I thought you would have realised that here on the NBN, are the finest helms since errr well since Gracie last avoided a saily ! Or young Alan on Orca kept a straight line on the Ant! I am sure someone will appear above the windscreen soon enough! Iain
  5. Ruth is well trained, Alan, she puts the lippy on once out in the car ! Iain

  12. One of the first places we ever sampled local fayre back in the 70's it was very handy being next to the P&H Boatyard. Hopefully, but have my doubts it will add to the area. Iain

  18. Hi Neil, Plan your passages in and out to the tides, your boat is pretty low airdraft if I remember rightly, and enjoy a wee gem of the southern rivers. We started from there till Richos closed The New Horizon yard. A bit of traffic noise but never put us off going there. Enjoy! Iain
  19. We have used that take away in the past and found it tasty and great value for money. Also, the Oasis Indian resteraunt is worth trying in Stalham. Iain
  20. It was one of Woolworths finest. Possibly cost 7/- A treat from an uncle of mine, bless him.

  22. Good heavens JM no but I have found it an amazing technical thread of which I know very little....well hee haw to be honest ! Know doubt somewhere in the software will be a word which will be starred out!....Maybe? Iain
  23. Well, I am sure most, in not all the stinky types have given this thread a king size body swerve, well you were well warned from the outset! However, part of my remit is to read these threads, to make sure they are above the plimsoll line so to say. I have to congratulate our servers word check, not ONE saily boat word - so far - has been starred out, which just goes to prove, that all these sailys are very polite people ! Aye ok, we all knew that already! Now it appears Warp is going to raid his Christmas piggy bank to buy god knows what ! I thought a Cam was a CAMERA ! Iain
