That's quite possible Mirage but more like early 80's after Atlanta took the Norman moulds. The original Normans were all built to the 6' 10" beam in order to be able to navigate all waterways. Later variations were made in widebeam. Trevor

You are considering the wrong mark of the Norman 23 Strow! The one its a chop job of is like the Atlanta with the slight "V" to the raised area forward of the main cabin shape. I said I've seen this boat before. I do know the odd bit about Normans and there was information given about it on my website forum at some stage. I'm sure I have other photos of her somewhere but can't find them at this time of night! Quite a lot of clever mods were carried out on Normans! Trevor

I've seen that before. Supposedly it was a Norman 23 which someone "lifted the lid" to increase headroom so its a unique one off! It is the right length and there are a few "Norman" characteristics left. Trevor

The power point at Hickling has always been a bit of a problem to access. I assume its still in Whispering Reeds yard? I never understood why it was put there! I realise there are no BA defined moorings as such so I can only assume it was purely for the expected electric boat. Trevor

There have been many discussions all over the web on all the forums about osmosis. Basic fact! Osmosis never sank a boat! Yes, Freemans seemingly picked up an unfortunate tag of suffering more than most but it is only in the most extreme cases where the very expensive remedial work is required. Given the age of these craft I would challenge anyone to find any marque of craft of a similar age without the slightest trace of osmosis. Look at Mr Truss's final comment, "For a caravan builder a very solid boat"! Then examine the quality of the interior finish. These are generally very fine boats for their age. Ask Lord Paul! Trevor
