Surely any "air bridges" will depend upon the destination also agreeing to one! If the example of New Zealand recently is anything to go by, I supect they will not be queuing up methinks!

I suspect this is key to any likely future successful restoration of the place. If there were to be movement on improving the land access then the place becomes viable once more. Obvious I know. Wonder how long it will take the present owner to realise this!

My first memory of "posh nosh" on the Broads goes back to 1974 when, before picking up the boat, my Mum treated myself and mate at that posh place in Brundall. Was it Lavendar House or something?? But my mate indulged in pidgeon breasts and a starter of muscles! I can't recall what I had.

Very much as I remember him Howard, you are quite right, harmless but could be a merciless windup merchant! Always made me smile which was really the thinking behind me posting this.

Recent times have provided lots of opportunity for thought and pondering. I have done more than my share during my period of house arrest. One thing that keeps coming back to me over all these years of ever changing and fractured forums. I suspect some long servers may draw a breath, swear or even choke on their cornflakes! Who was/is "Ramjet"??? I long thought it must be the alter ego oof another forum poster but never really managed to make my mind up. I don't doubt that many will consider Ramjet to have been an early example of an internet troll. I found him/her quite entertaining but the question remains! Who was/is this being??

I would add to that by saying we also need to accept and acknowledge the wrongs of the past and not try to either deny them or make excuses for them. We need to recognise them as lessons as to how we should progress and develop our relationships and lives together accepting that society is judged by how it treats and shows compassion for those who are disadvantaged by age , race or gender and cannot protect or fend for themselves.

It was/is Boris Johnson that is fixated with this! At one time it seemed our whole future depended upon what happened to this and it seems to be used to decide when lockdown decisions are made.

I doubt that anyone thinks the economy is unimportant but there are those of us who recognise that an economy requires LIVE people for the system to work. Countries around the world are now showing statistics that clearly demonstrate that the measures taken in the UK are either flawed or insufficient. The simple truth is that caution will save more lives and ensure more of us survive to actually take our places in that economic recovery!
