  1. I've got some evostick if you need it Tim.
  2. That's appalling Alan, why did the conductor not state the train was for Yarmouth, the PIS if working should state on the front of the train and also in the saloon its destination. Was it the short set with class 37's or a 156.
  3. Robin, We did turbine washes all the time on helicopters I worked on it was part of the routine maintenance.. When I had a survey done on Nipper the inspector condemned the engine because it had some corrosion, it ran and started fine and all that was needed was a rub down with a wire brush and a lick of paint. He also highlighted that the toilet sea cock was not accessible without breaking your arm in two, I rectified this by replacing the heads floor and moving the access hatch to allow easy reach. Most surveyors will always air on the side of caution and you need to look for yourself to see if things are actually as bad as he reported. Doug.
  4. We had 5 modified, the trouble stems from the fact it runs at a constant speed all the time unlike a truck and was encased in a soundproof box. Then put it on metal wheels and it's not a happy bunny.
  5. We had a Volvo truck engine modified to run a 1000v generator and it was a pain in the backside and proved very unreliable.
  6. Just read on Facebook that LBBY was broken into last weekend, so just a heads up to be extra vigilant as some sumbags could be doing the rounds.
  7. Is it me or is Wild Fuzz now working under cover.. ..
  8. http://www.broads-authority.gov.uk/jobs/current-vacancies Any one interested in a new career.
  9. Crossing time for Thursday is 17-40 so I would go for this and moor at GYYS for the night you won't have to worry about fog on Friday morning then. Remember this is the time to aim to be at the yacht station.
  10. When we went sailing in the Med last year none of the yachts had charts on them, I had taken my own so we were ok. After 3 days the flotilla skipper produced photo copies that were years out of date which we all refused to use. It was another two days before the correct up to date ones arrived. I was gobsmacked that they would let people loose on their own with out of date or no charts at all. Doug.
  11. I hope you revising for the painting and varnishing.
  12. The plank was not too bad but the rib needs attention and a lot of planks have been removed to allow for the new ribs to be fitted.

  16. When we went down last month there are a few red buoys almost in the middle of the dyke making it very narrow.

Polly, have you watched the TVs program "cannonball ", you could always try the Blob method and get Phill and crew to jump on the stern and the mudweight will pop out of the water and you can stand on the foredeck and catch it on the way back down.
