  1. My bilge before being squashed.
  2. Yes more water than I would like since being squashed, hopefully be dry when I fix it next year, shaft with stuffing gland only drips when under way due to the shaft not quite in line, again on the list for next year. only if the canopy is down. Two, one aft and one forward, shower has a separate pump. From my one starter battery that’s live all the time even when the batteries are isolated.
  3. It actually opened yesterday and I did the section from Coltishall road to Wroxham road, yes I agree with the roundabouts but the thing that astonished me was the poor quality of the tarmac you would expect a new road to be like a billiard table this is definitely not. Doug.
  4. Received mine today, only thing I would say is that the photos seem quite dark. Doug.
  5. Well I've spoken to a friend of mine who was a washing machine engineer. It's most certainly powder blocking your washer. His advice is to remove the grey door seal and put your arm up the inside and squeeze the pipe while running hot water down the tray this should soften up the powder and clear the blockage. Doug.
  6. Go for a boat designed one. I fitted a 12 v one earlier this year it is powered from one 110 battery topped up via a battery charger when on mains. We went for the 80 Ltr as it almost the same size as the Electrolux gas one
  7. Maybe it’s us on t’other side that needs the fenders.
  8. It’s a wooden boat ...right, wood floats. Doug.
  9. Google pixel is really good value at the moment, I hated my Samsung S7 and couldn’t wait to go back to an IPhone Doug.
  10. Depends how much oil and where it’s coming from, is it a fibreglass boat if so the bilge should be dry. Could just be down to poor maintenance, I looked at a broom skipper before buying Nipper and the engine tray was full of water and oil the reply I received when asked why “oh I forgot to clean it” I walked away. Doug.
  11. Richardson’s Stalham or Horning, Wayford Bridge, Eastwood Welptons Upton to name a few. Doug.
  12. If you now how thick the cabin side is you just need a trailer to take the planks to the planner, I have done this a couple of times with Martham. Doug.
  13. I'm not sure if Martham's planner is limited to 24 inches but always worth a ring. I don't know of anyone else other than maybe Patrick Richardson at Potter. Doug.
  14. Nipper was looking less than pristine that year. At least your cabin sides where complete I only had half of one with the other half sunbathing somewhere near Great Yarmouth. Doug.
  15. Not Tim Collins he won't stock mahogany that big. Only one place to head and that's Martham.
  16. I would love to know who made the comments at the Wooden boat show and I have a stern word. At least you made the effort to turn up none of us Wooden boat owners feel the boat is ever finished but like others have said you are keeping the heritage alive. you are more than welcome to moor next to us anytime. Doug.
  17. Robin, i think the reason your washing machine floods is it fill by passing water through the drawer to collect powder softener etc, I’m guessing that the drawer needs removing and the buildup of powder sludge cleaning that’s blocking the pipe to the drum. Doug.
  18. That’s a relief I can have a day off to decorate the Christmas tree lol. Actually spent the afternoon making the next batch of ribs now I have the timber. Doug.
  19. Rather than give out the access code (No offence) I can pop down tomorrow as I have to pick up my boat show tickets. Doug.
  20. Returned to a hire fleet specialising in wooden boats oh that sounds interesting. Doug.
  21. If it was the one from London it was almost beyond repair. Someone clearly loves Brooms or have very deep pockets or both. Doug.
  22. I do 6 coats of 50-50 before rubbing back then another 4 to 6 coats of neat varnish rubbing down between every other coat, I also use good quality foam brushes and throw away after use as I don’t think you can always clean a brush successfully. Doug.
