Mistakes fixed.

Hi JM, I basically retired last June and I am bored to tears. Trying to find some work to stop me going crazy. As for the broads - that is a distinct possibility.

Well done to all of you who continue to keep a forum icon in good shape.

As someone who has very little else to do but read the forum, I would say that there are quite a few members who post on a very regular basis. THAT IS WHY WE HAVE SO MUCH TO TALK ABOUT AND MOAN ABOUT AND GIVE SH1T ABOUT and not to forget the most important - TO HAVE A BLOODY GOOD LAUGH. This is what I believe makes this forum a SPECIAL place.

We were on an ''electric'' boat last year (Brinks Rhapsody) and while all the gadgets and electric cooking were brilliant, you still had a generator for the batteries. Just think of the exhaust output and noise from a diesel engine at idle on a mooring and put that up against a generator at 1500 to 2000 rpm.

Carole, You know that I an not one for many words and normally just hit the like button, but that post says it all.

We are all safe and nothing else since earlier.

We just had an earthquake here in Bali. Nothing too big, but a few little tremors and then a window rattling shake. No damage for me and I don't think it was big enough for damage to anyone else. Makes you wonder when a big one might come though???????

Go out for a pint and come back to ''not a lot''.

We went from Stalham to Norwich, Beccles, Oulton and probably all points in between. When you pay that much money for a boat, I am not going to moor it for long.

I did 180+ litres in a week on Carousel last year, but I think that a good portion of that was down to the heating get used a lot.

THE NBN WILL NOT DISAPPEAR. On a personal note - this site has been a ''god send'' to me for the last 3 years and I will do my utmost to help in keeping it going. I used to give a financial contribution in January, but I have no credit card or bank account at the moment, so not possible for now. Keep the spirits up peeps - we will all see it through and it will only get bigger and better.

Well done JA. This forum gets addictive after a while.

I think Charlie's post above has hit the nail on the head. Let us all wait until there is an official announcement put out by the company before we do any more speculating. The forum can then not be blamed for any detrimental effects on what is happening.

I love it John. It's not very often in this day and age when someone will say what you just did.

Guys, There are very few ''condescending'' posts on this forum. It is differing opinions from different people and that's the way it should stay. Spider, You are very much entitled to your thoughts on a subject and posting them gives everyone an insight to the different ways on the broads. Hang in there and please don't overreact to someone else's opinion.

Heads-Up display on the windscreen with steering wheel controls is about as near as you will get to keeping your eyes on the road, but your attention will still be taken off actual driving.

A little bit risque, but nothing compared to what is plastered around today in many places. Personally, I think it's a bit of class.
