  1. Our 2 cats which have been in quarantine in Jakarta since the end of October arrive in Bali tomorrow. It will be nice to see them.
  2. You boys have got me drippin out of both sides of my mouth. Great vlog.
  3. The new Kawasaki will do 240mph - straight out of the box.
  4. BUT I CAN'T DRIVE THE WRONG WAY.
  5. They took my license way for 3 years in October 1996 for speeding on the M23 on a Honda 1100RB. My license was clean and the judge said that if I was not leaving for Indonesia the following week - he would have locked me up. The police radar gun goes up to quite a high speed and his words to me were ''it's off the clock''. I had sold my bike and was on the last outing before handing it over to the new owner, but I reckon I did the double ton when they caught me.
  6. I told this story before, but I will tell it again. When I was in Saudi for British Aerospace in the late seventies, the Saudi airforce had american F5s and Lightnings. One day they decided to see what was fastest in a climb and an F5 and Lightning were placed side by side on the runway. The F5 let the brakes off on max power and max climb. When it was at 10,000ft - the lightning let the brakes off - when the F5 was at 20,000 ft - the lightning was at 30,000ft. WHAT A MACHINE.
  7. My last dog was a large German Shepherd who loved his beer. The barmen would put the drip tray remains in a large ashtray and Sabre would have it gone in a jiffy. He also loved the broads and would stand proudly on the bow. Sorry - no photo to hand.
  8. Nice photo of nice bikes.
  9. Thanks Charlie and the same to you.
  10. You are up early Charlie. Happy New Year to you.
  11. I remember going with my father on the back of his BSA 250 to see my grandad in the nursing home. Then one Sunday - my grandad told my dad that the time had come because he couldn't fill his pipe any more and the next day he was gone.
  12. Condolences Tim. Thoughts are with you and yours.
  13. I may be 6,000 miles away but I am sitting here in tears. A great guy - sadly lost. Thoughts are with his family.
  14. Good Morning peeps, It's 4 minutes to 4 here in Bali - so MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL. I am just getting ready to go to Singapore to get my visa renewed, so my day will be spent travelling.
  15. Hang in there Tim. We are all with you and praying for the best.
  16. I have just deleted the last 2 posts (no names needed) to avoid what I believe would cause a problem for the forum. I hope I made the right decision.
  17. Thanks Stuart. That is some brilliant advice for all.
  18. MM, With regards to your car port, as I see it, you need not care if it is dark or light, all you want is the lights to come on if anybody needs them to (proximity). You can put a normal light switch between the power supply and the proximity sensor / light and you have your simple system. It's either on or off.
  19. Here is another shot of power distribution here in Bali.
  20. All that above is called ''2 way and intermediate switching''.
  21. Actually - this is a relatively neat one. I will post another that makes this look like perfect.
  22. Very well done to all involved. I never worried for a minute.
  23. Thought you might like to see the power distribution system in Bali.
  24. Absolutely brilliant Vaughan. Them were the days.
