A lot has changed from the 90,s - the cost of fuel and excessive wear and tear on the machine being the only factor, today's gearboxs work with load cells and select which gear is suitable to set off as such it's saves fuel by not going through the gears and reducing clutch wear amongst many other factors and to be fair it does a better job than most drivers .......it's all good stuff until it defects which is rare if serviced properly with regards cars today's auto box have come on leaps and bounds ,my brother in law is a auto gearbox specialist he does manual gearboxs too . I often chuckle when he is asked for his opinion........which is " mini,s have a crap gearbox and keep off anything French most other stuff if serviced usually is fine - but that only his opinion i will say one thing and this is only my opinion - its harder to go back to a manual gearbox after driving auto .......lazy I know finny

If you want to buy a hgv (waggon ) from new you have to advance order should you want manual gears most operating fleet buy or lease auto because it can drive more cost effective than a human Finny

I run permanently on winter tyres Griff personally I have found the mileage used is no difference to normal tyres and if you purchase a quality make road noise isn't an issue and absolutely fantastic in the rain ( it's always rains where I live ) mrs finny Audi had wheels with elastic bands as tyres and went sideways on a frost and is a totally safer and better ride all round on winters finny

my wife has been saying for years that i have selective hearing- or just plain ignorant anyway as of a medical health care check up at work i now have a piece of paper that confirms iam half deaf in one ear -so she was wrong and iam a nice chap again oh and i have been a tad vague as to which ear it is as i depends on just where she is sitting at any one time finny

I feel really sad for those who have had this last minute dropped on them - it could have been done better i also feel for single parent families who want to come to the broads where money can be very tight Rico,s through sheer size i think offer a service reachable to most pockets - in fact i always admired them very much in doing so ,hopefully folk in this position will still manage to come to the broads and hopefully some of the smaller yards get a bigger bite of the cherry finnty
