Many thanks to all,I am feeling better,still get a bit puffed now and again.back to the Hospital in early Feb for checks on my breathing.One things for sure I don't want to go through that again in a hurry. Best wishes Ian

So Christmas lunch is over and there are still left overs what to do with them? Simple toastie,using a uncut loaf,cut door steps,lightly butter a few slices of turkey add slices of good strong cheddar toast and place in the oven to get hot Turkey turnovers home made short crust pastry or good shop bought is fine. Diced onion and carrot lightly cook until light brown allow to cool.Add chopped parsley and chives mix all with diced turkey adding a little gravy.Cooked sprouts chop fry off in butter season add some mash potato shape and fry until lightly brown,or using raw sprouts slice,to give it a kick, thinly sliced chorizo fry off no oil or butter,add the sprouts season serve with home made chips and ketchup one can of chopped tomatoes good spoon of tomato puree one rough chopped onion and garlic.Cook slowly of 30/40 mins,take off the heat add sugar to taste,blend,serve cold.The remaining ketchup store in a airtight jar and keep in the fridge. To start the lows: We got broken into in February,helping himself to lap tops iPads and gold.Still because he was a yoyo he left a screwdriver on Nicolas bed and the fact that he tried to sell goods to the Police He went down for five years enjoy your Christmas inside.Then I broke my Metatarsal.Ending the the year with pneumonia and breathing problems. The highs Flying a Tiger moth at Duxsford and the Rib on the Thames,thanks to Marina,Nicola and Alan.Great days out. Hearing that houses in our street were selling for 290k,we got an estate agent round and he said he would value our house at 290 plus. Back to work all be it only for one day,but it is a start. My hope for us in 2016 is for better health lots of boating and a happy new year i hope to for peace in the world. I would like to thank Marina,Nicola and Alan Last by no means least my thanks to the Doctors,Nurses and Staff at Darent valley hospital.I am very grateful for the care you gave me.Often people complain about there care.I have now been treated at the hospital three times each time the care has been great have a great Christmas one and all Ian Ian

Back to work tomorrow,not sure about christmas eve or next week.This will be the first time in almost a mouth.feeling better breathing better a bit puffed now and again back mostly good.I will get a good idea where I am this time tomorrow Ian

I am pleased that you can't smoke in public places such as pubs and restaurants when they told me in hospital that I had emphysema,this is not doubt as a result of me smoking for many years.There was a lady next to me in hospital,i would say she was about seventy,she to had emphysema,she never smoked,but her and her husband would go dancing in clubs when they were younger.of course then smoking was wide spread in public places.I don't go about smoking to those who do ,I did after all enjoy smoking.The air is much better now in public places. We could do worse,For some time now I thought Jose should go,its sad he has been great for us,but I think he lost his way.I do however think the players need to step up and get us out of this mass.You don't go from the best to the worst in the prem.They should turn on the skill and dig in.I hope they can Unhappy blue boy Ian

You can also add to jams as well,berries seem to ripen slower inon the broads I use home as a guild our berries seem to ripen earlier quicker then the broads. What ever enjoy your sloes Ian
