  1. Many people are non swimmers on boats.Including my wife. The trick is to stay in the boat.
  2. I enjoyed it,just miss strictly and looking forward to when it starts.
  3. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea,but I look forward to it every year.Due to the madness that's with us.It will start later this year. Its the slow build up to CHRISTMAS. Keep dancing.
  4. Just be careful of Ludham bridge!Yes a big thank you from me to the crew at Hemsby . Have a great trip. Ian
  5. I hope so.I have a follow up scan booked for the 28 September. Depending on results. They will decide treatment. Last thing I and many others with serious conditions other then Covad need is a lockdown.
  6. All I want is simple, I want to be treated for problems concerning my health. If we have a lockdown in my area.I worry if it has a impact on my health.
  7. If they believe that driving a boat dangerously, they will breathalyser you.And take action if need be.
  8. Thanks Alan, what I'm looking for is some warmth other then on board heating.I do suffer from the cold.
  9. Looking for advice on heaters.Sweet kingfisher doesn't have shore power. We normally power up the engine then turn on the heating. What we have been thinking is perhaps to get a heater. We do have shore power leads, from when we had our first boat, little kingfisher. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks Ian
  10. So sorry to hear such dreadful news.My thoughts with he's family and friends.
  11. Thanks Peter.I still have battles with my health. The Hospital phoned me Monday,I will need a scan, long overdue breathing test. And hopefully decide what treatment for my lungs. As if I don't have enough problems.I have toothache.
  12. Speaking from experience, its not been a very good (short)season so far for some bad accidents. I wish well for those involved.
  13. Good that it's back, still odd looking though.
  14. The screen is now all over the place.Very annoying.
  15. That's good,I've been told I will have a flu jab ,not sure when.My issues with our GP,s is the fact my pneumonia was only dealt with by phone. Each August (pre) covad my breathing is checked not this year.I can't help feeling that if they saw me in person, any treatment would have been dealt with sooner.I simply don't understand why I can be treated in hospital, yet can't see my GP,s or nurses at my local surgery. Which is only a five minute walk from our house. Now before I can phone the Doctors I must request a phone call on line.In my opinion this will just add to more visits to A&E.
  16. Thought it was just me and my bad luck!
  17. After I spoke with our GPs,which was next to useless.I spoke with the local hospital where my scan was booked.Much more reassuring, they got the results of my visit to NNH on Monday and Tuesday. They will contact me soon deciding if I need Treatment or not. They said I don't need a scan on Monday. In my experience the care and treatment I have received in Hospitals the Ambulance crews and Indeed Hemsby lifeboat crew has been outstanding, and I'm very grateful the care they've shown me Sadly I can't say the same about my local GP surgery.
  18. Thankyou everyone for your kind comments. I will speak to our Doctors today.Mainly about if there's still a need for another scan booked for Monday.I do feel a bit better today thankfully the swelling in my feet and left leg is reducing .
  19. Today is 9/11.I remember the day here was a very bright sunny day.The sort of day to make you feel all was well with the world. That was soon to disappear, with the horror coming from New York.At first I think there was a disbelief that such a thing could happen. Our Daughter was contracted to UBS,and they had calls from the twin towers knowing that it was the end. A day that so many died, many trying to help others. So just spare a moment to remember those that died in such a dreadful way.
  20. Very sad news.RIP Diana.Alan Minter also passed.
  21. If you look at Wroxsham and Potter, think it's near on impossible to make taller bridge.Nice idea though. Welcome to the forum Ian.
  22. Just to make it clear.I had a scan on Tuesday at Norwich hospital which showed up serious problems.I had a scan booked next Monday. I need to find out if I need that scan next week.I will see a specialist hopefully soon.I will speak to our GP tomorrow. For some time now my breathing has become worse. At no time could I see a GP,that does not help. Each August in normal years my breathing is checked. Not this year due to Covad.Up to now I have had phone consultations, now they want people to Email reasons why you need to speak to a Doctor. Theres no words I can use regarding such rubbish!
  23. We are back home, deciding sadly to cut short our time on the boat.I went back to Norwich hospital on Tuesday for further tests and a scan. They found nodules on my lung. Also now have severe emphysema.I have been referred to a Respiratory Specialist. To say I'm worried is a under statement. Hope this gets sorted quickly. Of course Marina ,Nicola and Alan are also concerned.I was due to have a scan here next Monday. My accident may have speeded up that process.
  24. I have a poor signal, good old Brundall. I will post when a better signal.
