Just managed to catch up with everything (internet didn't want to work yesterday). Many many happy returns Gracie. Now that you are old enough may I suggest that you try a very small drop of wine , just to see if you think you could maybe develop a liking for it. At this time of year my dad would always come out with "May you live as long as you want and never want as long as you live" Takes me back a lot of years but the sentiment is still the same. Can I request that any dog lovers look at Change.org and find the story/petition about the army dogs which are due to be put down because they have come to the end of their working life. I found this a couple of days ago and signed the petition . Since the another 200000 people have done the same. Every time I come down to the broads I manage to lose 5 or 6 specimen sized bream , roach and perch. They seem to run away somewhere else when i'm trying to help them out of the water !!! Jeff

I have been watching some work being carried out on the new BB acquisition. Looking at it today it looks like some of the original land alongside the river has now disappeared. Has anyone seen or got a copy of the plans showing what the intended end result will be like? Jeff

It puzzles me that they all set off within minutes of each other. I've often wondered if they would get more business if they set off at , for instance, half-hour intervals It seems they are like buses....wait for ages then three come at once. Jeff

I cannot express the admiration I have for Gary. He went into the water without a thought for his own safety and put himself in a position to protect the young girl from being crushed by the boat. Fantastic !!!! Then he made sure that the girl's sister was safe before managing to scramble out himself. Hope his heroics do not go unrewarded ! Jeff
