  1. Fantastic write up and lovely photos. Some great tips on places to visit too. Thank you! Just out of interest where was this picture taken? If you mentioned it and i missed it apologies.
  2. Is the 1st one the Compleat Angler?
  3. I've just had a very good case in point. I got home from work and locked my bike in the shed. Instead of the pub I decided to walk to the supermarket tonight so I wouldn't have to mar my weekend with shopping. No sooner had I walked 10 paces something felt a miss i patted my pockets and felt my keys... they felt different.... THEY WERE NOT MY KEYS!! they were in fact a set of keys from work I'd put in my pocket earlier in the day I don't normally have work keys but thats another story. My keys were where I leave them on the dining room table inside. My heart sank. Living alone I have a contingency for such an occurrence - I keep a spare front door key in my office a brisk 30min cycle from me. Sadly the bike was locked away in the shed with said shed key happily resting on the bunch in my locked house. So to round off my week I've just had a 3 hour round trip by bus through the tail end of rush hour numerous road works and heavy traffic around the 2 mosques on the route that do their thing on a Friday evening to get the spare....and I've still got to go shopping tomorrow! . DOH. Moral of the story "go to the pub after work not the supermarket" Just opened a can of beer though. Thanks for listening!
  4. Unfortunately I've remembered to pick my bike after the pub more oft than not... once mistaking a flight of stairs for a ramp onto the tow path enroute home. I tend to get the bus now.
  5. I've once or twice cycled to the shops locked my bike up outside and then inadvertently walked home... It's the next morning when I wonder why my bike isn't in the shed that I remember.
  6. The things that go on in the small hours! love it!
  7. There are quite a few yards offering recovery cover. Evening Shadow has an agreement with Boulters.

    Brooms

99p at Boulters. £1.10 at Southgates that was 2 weeks ago - bit of a schlep from Brundall though
  9. We saw you again on your Mum's "trial run" we'd been for a meal in the Mermaids Slipper and moored on the end of Swan Quay.... you all looked deep in concentration but all looked steady to me! I'm sure she'll get the hang of it! Looking forward to seeing her out with the new name on!
  10. Yes Rickos advised us to get to Ludham Bridge early and they would send some heavy guys to get us under if we struggled. Had a few inches to spare on Sunday morning as it happened so was OK.
  11. Following some great Easter weekend picture shenanigans I am back in the office with the Barnes webcam on and noticed some boats have appeared on the roof of Chunky's pet food... or am I having a mad moment?!
  12. I've just seen Friday Girl on the Ant heading north! Her crew looked very happy!
  13. I'm being driven over Wroxham bridge in about 2 mins. I'm determined to spot it
  14. Hmmmm - is it a bench? It looks bare.

  17. This thread is asking for trouble .
  18. Well we have cyclists on the roads....
  19. That made me LOL. My apologies. I spend a lot of time trying to raise money for the local authority. It just comes naturally these hair brained schemes. The thing is it could happen
  20. Excellent thread! I'd love to fly on Concorde.
