Having lived in different counties within England it is not uncommon to see poor local reporting., I think some of it is down to funding and reporters starting out in the business.
I was neither asked or told to join so I read it all.
Posters there have posted names, postal addresses and email addresses of the correct people to contact if they feel strongly enough, this is more than I have seen before but needs people to actually do so rather than just moan every year.
Am I on the wrong thread? Somewhere on the forum is a link to the open and public facebook page which members refer to and I cant find it now. Can somebody please point me in the right direction.
We used to sometimes use the hacksaw trick on bronze bearings during site work, it was time consuming and a light scoring in the body from the blade wont weaken the body. Often found the grub screws had been doubled up as well.
In case of any confusion, the dyke was clear of ice when the Nogs left as was the water around the boat and the ice shards I mentioned were in the basin behind the boat.
Looking at the shards you left behind on leaving it was 20mm thick!
The dyke is clear so looks like a bright if cold day for cruising out there. Have a safe journey.
