  3. In the Maltsters Well done for supporting the pubs JF Enjoy!
  4. Empty rivers. That's what we like to see Great photos JF Keep it coming please
  5. Enjoy JF and look forward to the piccies and tales of your adventures. Sadly we'll miss you by a couple of weeks. But as you know already, its a magical time to be out. You get a few punters around at half term but you should miss that so you will have the rivers pretty much to yourself. The weather's quite mild at the moment too. Have a good one. Oh, and don't forget Grace!!!
  6. The person who really would know the answers is David (expilot) but I'm not sure that he looks over this side of the fence
  7. Sounds like it's from the OP's home? 9. Aw, just caught up with this, belated birthday greetings Grace glad you had a good one
  10. It seems to work as a download ie it doesn't open up directly so I wonder if it could get blocked by anti virus settings? It worked for me Having said that I'm as good at computers as I am at gardening
  11. Norfolk Railway House. It became the Compleat Angler in the early 70's I believe. And yes, Vaughan is right about the station. It was known as Thorpe when there were more stations but now just Norwich. I see we are drifting nicely again!!
  12. JF is on the nail there I think. Mrs Nog has just Googled it and got the same result. According to Craig's database its had that name since 1992/3 so possibly more than one previous owner??
  13. I wondered if it could be an acronym but its a bit too long. Has a sort of French feel about it - I wonder if Vaughan might have any ideas?
  14. Fascinating film, I've just been watching it again. Couple of nice nostalgic views of the Bridge Hotel towards the end. It looks quite good quality, assuming its cine film, bit too early for video I'm guessing?
  15. Fantastic nostalgia and classic woodies too. Great film, thanks for sharing with us Carol
  16. Stick with the baked confection but no beer!!!
  17. Ha, just had a word with Mrs N, Grace Therapy? She says respect and very interested in your shoes
  18. .........the shoe famine didnt last long..........
  19. Best way to serve beer JM straight from the cask Ha ha, yes loads of them I've probably tried most beers in Norfolk/Suffolk and quite a few up here in ferret land. But there are loads in other parts I've yet to sample. But I'm working on it Also I think we have similar tastes for quality beer
  20. I'm beginning to wonder if it is this one? In the distance centre picture (blue hull) It was moored on its lonesome in December
  21. Also agree about the Adnams Old JM - cracking stuff
  22. You last won the day on 29th December JF :-) Mind you our Grace will take some catching!'
  23. Yep, agree with JM and Ray there. Avoid Facebook like the plague. Apart from this Forum, I am a member of a Vintage Electronics Forum which is very strictly moderated (absolutely no straying off topic there!!) I also look at Twitter - I find its a lot more factual and without the bitchiness of Facebook. Mainly pubs - its very good for finding out which beers they have on offer. I most certainly don't look at the 'celebs' give them a wide berth too. 90% pubs, Carol is on there, Broads Authority, EDP and one or two others. That's about it. Otherwise in the pub!
  24. Mrs Nog would be right with you there Grace I think they have Next up here in the land of the flat 'ats..............
