  1. Hi John, You should have turned the bottle from cork, less if no spillage that way. What was the occasion by the way? Regards Alan
  2. Hello Goldeen, Welcome to the NBN forum. The WiFi information can be found in the following location:- Forums/Visiting the Broads?/Broads Wifi information. Regards Alan
  3. Hi Trevor, I would try having that welded or braized. Here is a link to a stainless aerial that may work (it only has four fixing holes however) :- https://marinestore.co.uk/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=MTRA107SS&Category_Code=antenna-aerial-gps-mounts&Store_Code=mrst&gclid=COaqieSyt84CFQcq0wodW9gJuA https://www.seascrew.com/browse.cfm?MARINE-VHF-AERIALS---MOUNTINGS&l=0000000251 Regards Alan
  4. Pease pudding hot, pease pudding cold, Pease pudding in the pot, nine days old . Some like it hot, some like it cold, Some like it in the pot, nine days old. My uncle who lived in Scotland until the early 70's emigrated to New Zealand, always had a craving for mushy peas or pease pudding, he always managed to find some during his visits back to the UK. Regards Alan
  5. Hi Grace you are excused for the beer but McDonalds, you would be better off eating the packaging Regards Alan
  6. I totally agree that there is nothing wrong with the Rangers of the Broads Authority and many of the staff at the sharp end for that matter. Regards Alan
  7. Picking blackberries from the hedgerows of North East Derbyshire and using them with apples from our tree for making apple and blackberry pies & jam. In those early years we walked for what seemed miles with my Nan, good times well remembered. Regards Alan
  8. Hi Daniel, Here is a link to our services section on the forum, but I guess you will need a qualified gas engineer. http://forum.norfolkbroadsnetwork.com/forum/87-services/ Regards Alan
  9. We only went in once way back in 2001, I can't remember much about the place other than there was only limited food available because the chef who was living on a wreck outside the pub was having a slagging match with their partner. I do hope however that the pub stays open, we need all the pubs to stay open on the Broads. Regards Alan
  10. Hi Q, We mods know, but I for one am not telling. Regards Alan
  11. Hello BB, Thank you for that, I seem to recall that the plans were for a two level building. Regards Alan
  12. Hi Daniel, I would get someone to look at the grill if I were you, if the flame is yellow rather than blue it needs regulating/adjusting. The issue with grills is that you tend to have the door open when in use Our grill is great for drying bread, but it is poor at doing toast, so we like yourself rarely use it, I have fitted new jets to no effect. The oven works great. Regards Alan
  13. Is it over yet Regards Alan
  14. Hi Q, I would flush your system fully before adding any Fernox, it might also be an idea to fit one or two magnetic filters adjacent to your boiler and pump. Here some information from a supplier:- https://www.mrcentralheating.co.uk/central-heating-magnetic-boiler-filters?gclid=CMjglazKtM4CFdUW0wodPoIOXQ Regards Alan
  15. Hi Mark, That is bit of wishful thinking, it is only a few weeks ago since we last had the heating on. We can live in hope however. Best of luck with the heating. Regards Alan

  20. While people on the Broads are struggling to find anywhere to leave their rubbish, I see that Yarmouth is currently trialing a futuristic waste bin. http://www.edp24.co.uk/news/environment/futuristic_bin_trailed_in_yarmouth_in_bid_to_cut_costs_1_4636384 Regards Alan
  21. Hi Vaughan, Here is what I have just found out:- Salvage (the recovery of lost or damaged vessels) is a recurring theme in Arthur Ransome's Swallows and Amazons series, with descriptions of rescues of stricken boats. Sharks or Yarmouth sharks claim salvage on boats and Wreckers wreck boats to pillage the contents. The books have stories of sharks who help unsuspecting skippers in a tight spot (or during minor difficulties), then claim salvage rights over the rescued vessel. Regards Alan
  22. Hello Mark, Welcome to the NBN forum, I hope your search goes well. Regards Alan
  23. That would be a first Grace the boat above is unsuitable for rescues off of the mud on Breydon Water. Regards Alan
  24. I bet at the moment Griff is wishing his water came from anywhere other than Yorkshire, not too good in the Doncaster area at the moment, by all accounts they have only just been allowed to use the water for showers after about 4 or 5 days of having contaminated water. Regards Alan
