  12. We also like the Beccles Yacht Station, electric posts on the Harbour Master Office side and a few water points. The mooring can get very wet at times with high tides and paddling may be an option. Leave mooring lines loose to prevent bathing platforms getting caught up on a rescinding tide. It is a good Norfolk walk up into Beccles, but there are a number of pubs and places to eat. Good shops, butchers, greengrocers, bakers and a well stocked hardware shop etc. Regards Alan
  13. Hi Tim, The best worm is as the above messages, but you could also use Boating or Navigational. Regards Alan
  14. I see that a boat was also aground near Marina Keys. 6/9/16. 19:47hrs. Team paged by Humber to reports of a vessel aground near Marina Keys. Upon arrival it was found that a hire vessel was aground close to the bank adjacent to Bure park. A welfare check was carried out and mooring lines secured to the bank. The crew were advised about tides and timing to when they would refloat and what to do once they did. #75/16.

  19. Hi Simon, Yes it pays to book a mooring at Oulton Broad Yacht Station, if you are wanting see the racing on Thursdays (or the bank holidays) ask for an outer pontoon mooring, at other times choose a inside pontoon mooring because you will get less slap against the hull. Regards Alan

  25. Anyone buying a used boat would look around it, check to see if the BSS is up to date, more than likely have a survey prior to purchase, if all was good then they would try and get a deal. With this auction that is not the case, yes there is the option for viewing but that will be it no survey option and as already stated probably no BSS in force. There may however be some mileage for a low bid being accepted. All I can say it is a pity that these boats are in their present condition and as usual the liquidator is the only one to come out on top in this situation. Regards Alan
