  1. Peter, what did you do for this type of thing before 3D printing, ?
  2. Too much notice and the public will push the boundaries the same as they have with every other announcement, the government says next weekend so I can do it this weekend. Opening up leisure will be a big step. Shops could be controlled, second home owners can't.
  3. Nothing more dangerous than an "Expert" who thinks he is and convinces others that he is, but isn't. Neil Fergerson, AKA, Brenda from facebook.
  4. When the siren sounded, they took cover, when the all clear sounded, they emerged and carried on with the new normal.
  5. Sadly because half the population will implement them now and cut two weeks off the timescale and could affect the decline in the virus falling lower.
  6. Perfection can't be rushed and a hobby is not a commercial operation.
  7. I am told it is the shopping emporium formerly known as 'Primarni'.
  8. Good luck Andy, sometimes we are forced into changes we should have already made. Onwards and upwards.
  9. The ' gent' in question gave himself up to police in Essex, I assume that is where he lives.
  10. Pleased to have sent you some happiness
  11. You again presume a lot, I have no one on an ignore list but if I did it would be my choice and nothing to do with you.
  12. To ignore someone is free choice, to presume otherwise is arrogant.
  13. I have been collecting my Tassimo pods during lockdown ready to recycle. I now have an embarrassing amount and guess what, I don't care To compensate for my wanton extravagance I have stopped buying newspapers, I have driven less and turned the heating down. All my works vehicles are parked up in the yard and the office is cold and empty, We haven't used any nasty chemicals or wasteful and energy intensive building materials since March, my carbon footprint has reduced in line with my income. I might drink coffee from a machine but at least I am not out with spray cans and bricks pretending to care about the enviroment and society.
  14. I think we all need a bit of normality back in our lives, too many people with too much time on their hands. The trouble is, not much is happening on the broads and what is isn't being witnessed by very many.
  15. Apparently it has already been suggested by the " people expressing their new found cause", only problem is it is now widely accepted that the vast majority of workers were paid labour who used to switch to the pyramids during the flooding season as they couldn't work on the land farming. Never mind, they can go back to burning and defacing statues of Abraham Lincoln, an eventual advocate of anti slavery and equality or trying to remove a statue of Lord Baden Powell, the founder of the greatest movement to motivate young people the world had ever seen.
  16. Open dawn to dusk, your boat looked fine last sunday Peter.
  17. Hi John, Welcome to the forum from another BGM occupant. Broom are open on reduced hours, they are doing pumpouts as well.
  18. Defining a change is a lot easier than explaining a change to the general public.
  19. A horrible time for you all, thank goodness they diagnosed and acted quickly.
  20. I will also go out on a limb and state the date we are allowed to stay over on our boats, the same day it is announced by the government. Until then, nobody knows.
  21. I suspect that in all the calculations for lockdown and gradual release, a percentage of non compliance has been built into the estimates of virus increase. The aim has never been to eradicate the virus just control it.
  22. “... every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.” George Orwell, 1984
