Chelsea14Ian Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 Someone on Facebook said the pub is reopening at Potter.Does anyone know any more info? Quote
JohnK Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 They’ve had a couple of private events already. A lot of work has been done on the inside. Everyone local who’s said anything to me says its opening. I was told there’s a dispute over material to be used on the outside hence the outside not being done yet but I don’t know if that’s true. Quote
Chelsea14Ian Posted March 26, 2018 Author Posted March 26, 2018 Seems like good news,I wish them well. Quote
ExMemberBobdog Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 Outside still looked really tatty today, but somebody told me there’s a thriving delivery service of pizzas and burgers etc operating from the kitchens for several months; people phone and order and they deliver. Also heard the story of at least one private event there recently, and that the target is to open for Easter. Hopefully the tatty outside will not put visitors off. Quote
Guest Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 I certainly will be making an effort to go check it out this week and see how it fares. Quote

Oddfellow Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 As a local, but perhaps without his ear to the ground, I know nothing of any food service from the Broadshaven, but I am aware that the place has been occupied in some way for some months. Be good to get it open again. Quote

I’ve heard that from a friend who has taken advantage of the delivery service, and recommends the pizzas. I live outside the delivery range so cannot personally verify. 1 Quote

JohnK Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 What do successful pubs and restaurants on the Broads do over winter?Shut down? Reduce costs and tickover? Draw local custom? Something else? Quote

Good luck to them but it has to look inviting. 3 Quote
Broads01 Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Roof terrace bar could be nice if it comes off. I can imagine a good view along the river in both directions. Quote
