Come on, JF, you are as old as you feel...I can remember before streaming music, mp3s, mini disks (a really good base for music), cassettes, 8 track music, back to vinyl when a single cost 4 shillings and 11 pence (in old money) when a vinyl album cost all of my pocket money for a month! The first album I ever, ever bought was The Kinks,  Well Respected Kinks...I was five, or maybe six years old at the time. Show me a better way of playing music than on a turntable with the amp hiked up?

I'm sorry Mrs Nog, I can speak 6 languages but I don't know this one.

Mini disks, cassettes, 8 track.

I need to share a quote from my little sister about 20 yrs ago when talking very sagely with her friend about a song in the charts at the time:

"oh yes, my dad has the original of that on lino..."

Part of me thinks I should apologise for having prompted this thread to leave its tracks (honestly, just one mention of a seasonally related letter), but the giggly side of me thinks no apology necessary. :default_arms:

He he. :default_party0010:

Hi Helen

Nothing wrong with lightening things up a bit, life is far too short not to have a giggle from time to time, absolutely no apology necessary

You lot are nutty as fruit cakes but that's what makes this place tick over nicely, don't you think?

We gel well I reckon
