Where up north is it easiest to refuel?

Got a 34 foot boat, while moored at Sutton thought about getting some in but looked on in horror at the tight space littered with canoes. 

So where do people like to fill up at?

In the past we have filled up at Sutton, Barnes Brinkcraft and the yard at Pedro's, Acle.

 

From memory Barnes Brinkcraft were the cheapest of that lot.

 

On the south we almost always go to Goodchilds for fuel.

If you are going down to Horning then Boulters or Southgates are about the cheapest I believe.

Russels at South Walsham is usually fairly easy to get in to fuel up I find. LBBY can either be delightfully easy or a nightmare depending on the prevailing conditions and which direction you are coming from. Boulters can be a bit tricky but they usually nip out to help you in.

South gates easy but £1.20 litre, 

Boulters easy if no wind but very helpful £1.00 litre, must phone first.

Lbby £0.95 can be difficult if the river is busy as it’s quite tight but very helpful staff.

Also depends on the size of your boat  at 34ft Sutton is ok, Libby as had been said depends on conditions. I’d avoid Boulters until you get more confidence. Southgates. Proper easy

If weather is not too windy I tend to use Ludham Bridge , otherwise my preferred fill up is Boulters , their pump outs are excellent ,
