Boats Out On The River

Lots of boats on the river at Horning today including Barnes Brinkcraft and Horning Ferry Marina cruisers. Looks like they are hiring from today. It’s lovely to see all the boats after such a long time.

Just as long as it is day sailing and not overnighting.

Maybe it is staff giving the boats an airing. Getting the stern gland leaks sorted prior ti the 12th.

Aren't barnes hiring some of their cruisers as picnic boats till mid April. That's probably what you've seen.

I think I saw that a couple of the big guys were hiring out cruisers for day hire although I believe they were quite expensive. Still, if you’re desperate.............

Went onto Ferry Marina’s website and could book for a week from Friday 2nd April.

I thought we could only use self contained/self catering accommodation from the middle of April. Perhaps the moving boats were boatyard staff giving them a run.

We have been in Wroxham, Horning and Malthouse area today, only saw 3 dayboats and maybe a dozen privateers. Ferry Marina were moving boats about on the river....oh and we saw 1 Ranger and 1 Police boat.

You certainly can. Which is odd as they have this notice elsewhere on the site.

That's a website error. The earliest you can stay overnight is 12th April and that's for single households only.
