Whilst I was having a browse at Reedham establishments on the Food Standards Agency website I happened to notice that the Berney Arms Pub Bistro is apparently awaiting inspection. I hadn't thought that this venture had got off the ground yet. Anyone heard anything?

I have heard nothing at all but this rosy glasses view about the Berney Arms will cost anyone who invests in it a small fortune.

Let’s face it, too isolated and the ideal of eating out every night while on holiday  is not for everyone, especially in the hard times coming.

According to the statement at the time of the licence application they were not aiming at the hire trade at all so always wondered who they expected to drop by & get sufficient trade to maintain a profit margin

Was it just an exercise to make it look like he was trying to make it work and failing for change of use purposes?

I know I'm a cynical git but I wouldn't be surprised.
