  1. Have you tried to log in as Widfuzz? All I can think of is for us to reset your password if you can't log in.
  2. Stuart, Hi I've just looked at AdminCP and it's all still there as Wildfuzz, Stuart,
  3. I'm so, so sorry to hear this, John. I can but hope that perhaps all the words, hopes and wishes you have and will receive here will help you through. I feel quite desolate and will gladly join you in raising my tumbler of gin to Frances on the hour of noon today. I did.
  4. I think that Neil has said it all in his post above, Andrew: "I can only imagine that the hire yards have no option but to properly maintain their fleet. A boat which breaks down/ springs a leak for example , is going to cost them more than any pre planned maintenance would".
  5. Welcome Aboard from us too, David. We hope you enjoy the NBN as much as The Broads!
  6. Here it is: Amber warning of wind From: 0005 on Wed 13 September To: 0600 on Wed 13 September Updated 4 hours ago Storm Aileen will bring a brief spell of very strong westerly winds with gusts of 65-75 mph during the early hours of Wednesday. Longer journey times by road, rail and air are looking likely, with restrictions on roads and bridges. Damage to trees and perhaps buildings, as well as power cuts are expected. Flying debris and large coastal waves are possible, and these could lead to injuries. 47MPHWEST SOUTH WESTERLYWIND GUSTS46MPHWEST SOUTH WESTERLYWIND GUSTS44MPHWEST SOUTH WESTERLYWIND GUSTS44MPHWEST SOUTH WESTERLYWIND GUSTS43MPHWEST SOUTH WESTERLYWIND GUSTS41MPHWESTERLYWIND GUSTS40
  7. What a wonderfully kind gesture, Snowy! (You'll go far on NBN!) (please don't count me in, I'm in the middle of 2 weeks hols and need a while at home!)
  8. I rather like going into pubs and I always take an interest in what the food looks like when I see it served. If it looks good and I'm hungry then I will buy. Here in Welcombe, Devon, on holiday, we've had a few excellent meals in the Old Smithy but I've yet to see a rating sign as we go in via the back door near the loos. Still, it's a funny old world and we can each make our own choices in life, can't we?
  9. Our Nanni 50 (similar to many hire boats) was serviced yearly, latterly by Peachments, the Nanni Main Dealer, every year. As we usually did 2-300 hours that was far in excess of what a hire boat gets. Costs between £100 to £150 per year. We used Boulters breakdown and propeller services at about £140/year.
  10. Malanka, Hi Mary-Jane understood this (she's a BIologist) but for simple "Pull-back-go-up-Gor-Blimey" pilots (like me) would you please put it into simple English?
  11. Please post any more remarks about the Ingham Swan on the new thread about this awful tragedy.
  12. A warm welcome aboard from us, Kevin. Enjoy the NBN!
  13. We were on a ship a couple of years ago and had a Noro virus outbreak as we left So'ton. Then another one in the Pacific..... I clearly remember the Captain broadcasting almost hourly for everyone to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds. This coupled with crew members who would only allow you into the restaurants after they had sprayed your hands. Also no self service during the outbreaks. It did work, though.
  14. I hold my hands up in both amazement and supplication in all of this talk! When I'm back home it's my turn to try and rationalise my THREE sheds into one new one.
  15. Fascinating stuff, Malanka. (I've just binned my trusty old marigolds!)
  16. Exactly where we go! (We use Tom).
  17. That's the same as good old Yorkie Brian Turner uses, except he adds a tablespoon of malt vinegar "Cos my Grannie did". I've only ever used lard, Ian, and not as much as you mention of oil. But then, I'm not a professional!
  18. Mike, Hi. They're just replacing the clapped out frontings as they've bought that old marina adjacent to their property between the river and their lane. Yes, it will add to the number of boats but surely it was nothing but an eyesore as it was?
  19. Ian, Hi and so sorry to hear that. We swear by our chiropractor whenever that happens; have you tried one?
  20. Andrew, hi. I've merged your topic with this one as it was debated almost to the end recently.
  21. Unless they happen to be NBN members, Peter!
  22. Let's keep it friendly, peeps and agree to differ, please.
  23. High, Malanka. Mod hat off and I'm NOT trying to court controversy but what on earth could Riccos do about it? They're a boat hire company after all, not Broads Beat nor Broads Authority.
