  1. If you want real value bags of sweets, try Aldis in many varieties. Iain.

  4. With all this talk of Batteries, one must assume that Robin is "Ever Ready" at all times on that boat Iain.
  5. Nothing surprises me with appliance spares prices. Agree, 100% rip off! I ordered two fibre guides for a tumble drier, once, probably cost about 0.001p to manufacture, buying price plus P&P £36.00p! All because that company had the sole licence to make and sell them. Iain.
  6. Hi Biscuiteer, Welcome to the NBN hope you have a great holiday. Iain.

  13. Yes Steve, Goodchilds on your left after The Fishermans Bar, from memory its a pontoon for pump out and fueling, so no problems with tide heights. Iain
  14. Hi Steve & Deb, It aint self service as far as I know. I would think Goodchilds would be your cheapest place to buy diesel at Burgh Castle. I could be wrong on that one. I am sure someone will be along to correct me if I am wrong. Glad you got out at the weekend on your new cruiser. Iain.
  15. As one who lives in a farming county and worked on many farms, the collective name is a herd of Bulls, and....IF you HEARD them coming towards you, Eusain Bolt would come a poor second! Seriously, when I was rewiring Ayr Cattle Market in the early 70's, any bulls in pens were well ringed and roped. I always admired the skills of the herdsmen moving one into a sales ring when going to auction. Iain.
  16. I knew it I knew it!! Its a floating Discoteque 15mtrs of rope lighting!!! Iain.
  17. Achooooooo!!!!! There germs gone! Its looking great young Alan. Looks like B'pool has competition for the illuminations (a lot of lecky work) You pair have done. Just the finer touches and wayhey Norfolk here we come! Iain.
  18. So its now Lake Beccles Marina! Can't anything be done to stop this continualy happening at Beccles? Iain.
  19. Well I made a start Grace, I had six numbers up on the Lottery last night, sadly three n three so only £50 won Iain.
  20. Right, this is version number two. I live in a beautiful part of the country, with an airport only four miles away to whisk me off to sunnier and know doubt hotter places. But, with the Isle of Arran just across some sixteen miles or so from me, the views I see most days and some of the colours can be amazing. We have the marina also, so always something going on in Troon. I feel very lucky to live here. However, my brother in law has a flat in Tenerife which we have been so many times. But all the hassle at airports can put a downer on all of that, nice as Tenerife and up at Mt Taide can be. I have been coming to Norfolk for nearly forty years, and even today, I still get the excitement of the journey knowing at the other end, once the car is parked at the boatyard, the holiday of peace and tranquility begins. So, in the ideal world I would stay on a deserted Island with a Broads Cruiser to take me back to civilisation when required, but most of all, be back in Scotland for Hogmanay Not quite what I wrote before as spontanaity aint as spontan on a Sunday morning! Iain.
  21. Nah JM, I aint that daft, well not yet! I will try n redo my ditty with the flow of my finger Jonzo has explained all, techy problems. Iain.
  22. Yep JM I was one who lost a post from last night. Iain.
