  1. I always call the string on the pointy end of the Whimp a painter...
  2. Yes. 'Sold' to the bearded lady I will give you a ring.
  3. I made Brilliant a 'skirt' for the winter winds, it was not successful in that it kept moisture against the hull, and LBBY took it off. so, I have 60 odd feet of lightweight rip stop Camo and no need of it. I can bring it to the meet? Post it. Cut a shorter length?
  4. Oh no! The Kings Head Coltishall? That's our favourite place for a 'special' meal. Lovely food and atmosphere, but not cheap as chips. I hope it continues as a high standard dining spot.
  5. Yes but online as I don't have fancy pants equipment to do so
  6. They probably had dropped their iPad in the oggin.
  7. He looked much younger in his poster pictures than he did on Bonanza.

Beccles is really lovely as is the run from Oulton to Beccles. I like the Breydon crossing, but the lower Bure is a lowering of the spirit to me. I would not stay in Yarmouth, noooo.
  11. Nope Ray isn't a saily, but he is daft enough to be one. And Iain, both MM and Ray are as bad as each other, fact.
  12. Addicted, is there an echo on your PC ?

Unless of course, Danny, you are filling the bilges, in which case the sky is very probably the limit!
  14. We have had a great week away and The New Inn was part of that. Quiz Night on Friday by car, Steve and Nik were great company and we all enjoyed our meals. We had guests expected for Weds, they haven't seen much of the river, but as last time we took them to Salhouse, Great Hoveton and Wroxham Broad, I thought this time we would go from Horning. I booked us in for two nights mooring, we ate very well, just the two of us on Tuesday night and then the pick up of our Wednesday guests was comfortable and easy. A trip to the deli for Hornish pasties, a quick cup of coffee, we had had breakfast earlier, and away we went. We sailed South Walsham, took a walk at St Benet's, had an ice-cream at Ranworth and took our keen ornithologist friend to Cockshoot, where we knowledgeably identified ducks and gulls in case he hadn't noticed them. All four of us had a good meal at the New Inn at the end of a lovely day out, they left and we stayed overnight, managing breakfast before heading back to our mooring.
  15. That sounded clear enough, but then I don't work for BT
  16. We are all prepared for Griff...bumper bargain pack of Baby Wipes, just to annoy him. Rondonay ran on baby wipes, and they come in very handy on Brilliant too, which our esteemed Naval friend considers to be 'out of order' on a boat. I suppose actual babies are rare in the Navy. ...... ?

Yep, you can have a great time just pottering.
  18. Well I tried to remove the grub screw holding the knob on, but with time pressing it was not going to happen unless the screw co-operated. It didn't, so I will come back at it with a better screwdriver next Friday and try again. I think the locksmith with family over the road will be my first port of call, after that I will follow up the suggestions made if I draw a blank. Many thanks, will keep you posted.
  19. Yes, the YouTube clip went on to WD40, and it's effective on lots of things. Worth a try.
