It has been stated on here that the boat does not have a 'Broads' licence. If that is correct I take it the Authority will do something about that too? Let's make it fair for all the LEGAL boat users

When we had our boats on the 'Broads' I used to get my mate Trev to lay under the boat and do the lowest bits. That was his donation for comming on the boat whenever we went. Apart from drinking that's all he ever did - reckoned it was his holiday!

So as well as the toll increases why don't they start charging boats to moor up and really take the p+ss. Oh, they already do

We also went there a couple of times last year to eat and drink. Excellent. Dog friendly too which is important to us

Bit of a thread drift here, but ... many years ago I was the manager of a company selling touring caravans. I sold a first timer a new caravan and discussed what extras he should buy. Top of the list was a fire extiguisher. He asked "what size" and I replied depends on the size of fire your gonna have. He bought a large one. A couple of years later he came into the branch and said he had sold the caravan and moved into a flat. He had kept the fire extiguisher and recently had a fire in his kitchen and used that same extinguisher to put the fire out and had come to thank me.....just goes to show!

You don't think he's been arrested for unpaid mooring fees do you?

When I was a lad and Herne Bay pier was in one piece she used to pick up from the end of the pier then to Southend and eventually somewhere up the Thames. The windows in the bar were partly under water which was quite fun after a few pints!

That's what I thought. Been there by car but not walked from the moorings. Wherever - Its only 6 minutes to opening time. Must get to the pub!
