  1. People down here use acetone on gel coat just above the antifoul line. I know I was shocked too but it's quite common to use apparently.. Seemed to work.. but can't say I'll recommend it and won't have the guts to use myself!
  2. Hi Kris, to the forum. Good to have you here. I'm certain someone from the advertising team will be in contact very soon regarding the adverts! Good luck with the new venture. Will try and pop in soon!
  3. Sorry Jean. Just write in the white space I can see you've just uploaded it so congrats! The preview has gone now as what you write now is pretty much what you see
  4. Hi Jean. You just need to enter the full link including the http bit.. It should show the video in the preview. If it doesn't then still add it but then quickly click the edit button. Upon editing it seems to work correctly. I normally keep and eye though and will edit to make the videos show if I see them missing.
  5. Sorry all a bit slow. But I'm pleased to announce the winner!! With 19 votes, Congratulations to (Malcolm) Mouldy! Your prize of a free calendar will be in the post shortly
  6. Looking good Andy. If you don't go with andy I'll do it for a couple of grand
  7. This is all I can find. http://www.canalcargo.co.uk/acatalog/Pump-out-key-ch12.html
  8. They gonna need a lot of filler... ;) (Steve (LadyP) now that's a weak keel )
  9. Oh ...t.. That poor keel timber.. your dad is brave.. very brave...
  10. I've seen it a few times or was that Alan partridge?
  11. I'm sorry but I got bored before I got to the end of that question.. now I know why I failed the 11+ and didn't do well at college.. (God knows how I made it through Uni )
  12. So Sorry hear that Iain Really hope you can feel a bit better and get back to the broads sometime very soon.
  13. Strowager.. Perhaps a hovercraft, an air boat or perhaps a low draft alloy jet boat. The RNLI do employee hovercrafts on the mud flats here on the thames/medway estuary and it certainly seem to work and save lives.
  14. Actually JA.. There is the breydon mud which the SOB can't get to because it's built for maintenance work on wind farms and not rescuing people from the norfolk broads...
  15. The bill for the SOB has came in then... #bringbackeddie..
  16. JA.. I'm sorry to say this and I'm hope you are sitting on your chocks here.. But I think that's probably where a human (hopefully not the current ones) at one time, kinda had enough of you and put a match to you!! Probably because you were just being too much work and they wanted one of these modern plastic boats... where all they need to do is a wipe down in the spring time... instead of pouring lots of blood sweat and tears (and a hell of lot of a thing called money (Yeah it also grows on trees, like you, but it's not as easy to come by)). Don't have a strop over it and make that chisel slip because at least you have found a human that's got some nice rose tinted glasses on (not literally.. You may want to google that) and wants to make you better now.
  17. (Did you have a play on Breydon or is that tomorrow?.. if it's wet and windy it's the perfect time to try!! )
  18. Jayne. Albeit in distressing circumstances. Best wishes with the claim and hope you find a replacement and are quickly back on the water.
  19. I ended up trying to get on that road the other week and thought I got a bit lost..Is that really going to the permanent road lol!! Alan partridge really must have been part of the design team for this lol
  20. Yeah this is a hard one.. Sadly I think times have moved on. Pubs have had to modernise or die. It's easy to want the good old days but the good old days don't pay the modern expenses certainly when I guess the majority prefer modern twists. I prefer most styles of pubs.. Variety is good, depending on my mood will depend which pub we go to. The dukes head in somerleyton is my favorite at the moment. It's tastefully refurbed with a traditional country style, but the gastro styled other side is also really welcomed. Shepard neame down here have started refurbing their pubs to a similar style so this seems to be the current trend. But I don't mind a funky glass fronted pub kitted out with clear lightbulbs and stainless steel would do me if I was passing and in the mood.. better than nothing (Oh unless it's a bloody weatherspoons).
  21. All caught up Robin! Nice to see morning swan allows double moorings lol When you are up next Robin? We are going to see another tale this year aren't we?
  22. Dukes head Somerleyton? Bloody good pub if so. BBQ chips and sticky pigs highly recommended. What broom have you got? I think it's both the cadet and captain that are unrestricted although they may have had to restrict them now as everyone was getting caught and the rangers on the southern side were keeping a good look out. So although you can open her up at breydon you really need to watch it around the other areas. I've had a nose around them when getting fuel in brundall and they are amazing boats. Have fun
  23. Make sure you guys go across Breydon if you have a brooms.. Apparently they can get to 16mph so you can do the crossing in about 20 mins!
