  1. I’ve added the date for you Moosey. looking forward to the rest of your tales
  2. Definitely, and when we were down in September so did most other people both private & hirers alike
  3. It’s a great to hear that you’ve been able to come to terms with the sad loss of your beloved Alfie and move forward giving Boris the life he deserves. It really saddens me to see I’ll treated animals. Please don’t apologise for returning to the thread, it’s good to know how things have progressed. I recognise the backdrop of Wastwater having spent a great deal of time camping & walking in the area over the years.
  4. The Toon’s up for sale Tim if you have a few bob under the bed
  5. That’s the one I remember watching it in the early 70’s..... it was the talk of the playground the next day. I was very disappointed many years later when I watched a film of the same name especially for the knitting needle scene only to find it was the older film from the 1930’s
  6. The were bins were at Womack in April when we visited, can’t say about September though..... we didn’t call in then
  7. I’ve been looking into the technical documentation and can’t find any reference to a file size there either. but resizing seems to have worked for you
  8. Hi Regulo There is a maximum file size with the forum although I’m not sure what the actual size is. you could try reducing the image size and should find it will work.(I know this has worked for a number of members in the past) I know last year the winning pictures had to be sent in full size through an application outside of the forum to get a high enough quality for printing
  9. We had one of those as well growing up in the 70’s in the days before the nanny state. Bike track, boating lake (using anything that would float) and general playground. We weren’t supposed to go there but you know how it is! Sadly a few local lads drowned before it was drained
  10. Another great write up Neil, I’m looking forward to your pictures. I always find these tales a great way of getting over my end of holiday blues, reading them can sort of prolong the experience when you get home.
  11. Sorry I couldn’t say, I’m an Apple user so couldn’t use the app anyway. Maybe one of the other team members might know.

    Holiday 20th

Have a great time Adam What boat are you on ?
  13. Welcome to the forum Gary I hope you have many happy times on your boat. please let us know how you get on
  14. Hi all Please note that the Android app has had to be withdrawn due to technical reasons. We do hope to be able to reinstate this in the future but for now please continue to use the forum in the normal manner. Thanks
  15. Another great holiday tale Helen and some great photos. I don’t think it’s a bad idea to email your review to the yard, it’s all constructive. I was thanked a couple of years ago by Lesley at Silverline the for mentioning that the toaster didn’t work. She said that people rarely tell them about things like that when they return the boat. ps. After reading Simon’s comment above. We have never ever run an engine in order to run the heating or charge the batteries for that matter in all the years we’ve been coming (30+) so agree it sounds like a battery or charging problem
  16. Lovely photos. I’m really enjoying reading of your travels
  17. Our Congratulations to you all from us as well
  18. I’m also loving your holiday tale Helen and agree with all that’s been said about your photos, they’re great and definitely worth entering into the calendar competition . your latest instalment came in as I was posting this. I love the last photo
  19. Nothing to live up to James, you’re doing a great job as it is
  20. Good one, I’ve been there many times Due another visit I think
  21. Hi Susan & welcome to the forum. sorry I got the Dyke name wrong it’s actually Short Dyke where the moorings are, the second entrance to Rockland if you come from Brundall It’s a lovely peaceful mooring & just recently refurbished
  22. I’m with Simon (Broads01) on this about the mileage you covered. We noticed how red the berries were on that stretch as well, in fact our fire thorn berries in the garden at home seem bigger & brighter than usual this year. Enjoying your tale & looking forward to the next instalment
