  1. Thanks Iain. If that link doesn't work, please take it out.
  2. I will try and load a nice Christmas card and wish all on the Forum a Very Merry Christmas.
  3. Iain, I remember friends who use to go fishing off Queensferry and they said they had to put extra line on their reels to reach the bottom, but I have no idea how deep it is.
  4. I think the water is pretty deep under the bridges. Navy ships and I think even submarines have gone into Rosyth, so a tunnel would be a long way down and would have to start and finish from a long way away.
  5. Hi Wonderwall, I've done it once with the help of the guys at the yacht station. They had me come in and held the bow rope. The tide swung the stern all the way round and job was done.
  6. Hi Colin and Ruth and to the forum. Will keep an eye out for you the next time we are on the southern rivers.
  7. Will be interesting to get your report on the pub Howard. Lots of good comments lately, from us too. Enjoy.
  8. Hi Vanessa, A warm welcome from us here in Riyadh.
  9. Still morning Alan - 3 hours in front of you. We are on the water from 2nd to 9th April and then 22nd to 29th July, so we will make the summer meet at Oulton. Would be nice to have a beer or 2.
  10. Morning Alan, I suppose it's all down to what you want. I work hard and like to enjoy my time off. If I take our holiday in April - it will cost 1,700 for the flights, 400 for the car, 1,200 for the boat and 1,000 for spends - all in a week!!! WORTH EVERY PENNY TO US......
  11. Commodore is just over half of that in April for a week, but I'm paying that for one week in July on Fair Chancellor, so the time of the season plays a big difference in cost.
  12. Well, I'm behind Iain all the way!! WAY, WAY, WAY, WAY, BEHIND IAIN.
  13. I've used Phillips rotary shavers for years and can't fault them. My latest is rechargable and rinses clean under the tap. A charge covers a week on the boat with no problem at all.
  14. Thanks John. Not much celebrations out here though.
  15. I haven't tried anything new yet really, but it all seems just the same and OK to me.
  16. I hope they are already dead. I'd hate they were crawling around in my nether regions.
  17. We can go from anything to anything on this forum - and all points in between. lol. LOVELY.
  18. I love snails and eat them every time they are on the menu. The more garlic, the better.
  19. I just upgraded to W 10 and it took me 7 hours and 45 minutes from start to finish. Let's see how it goes.
  20. An easy way to get "STICKY KEYS".lol
  21. Fortunately, my contract includes full medical cover for me and the family anywhere in the world.
  22. No bruising around the eye, but the eye itself is rather red, especially where I got 2 numbing injections.
  23. Sculling was the first thing I learned in moving a boat. It was a clinker built tender in the local harbour that was moored to the bottom of a ladder and used by fishermen to get to their boats moored on bouys. A young lad was a handy way to take the tender back to shore if they were going out fishing.
  24. Morning John, Just returned from getting the patch off. Still not a lot of focus, but loads more light, so we'll give it a few hours and see. (pun intended) lol
