I never sign off Grace. I just shut the computer and when I open it and put my password in, I'm right back to where I was on the forum. It's always worked until now.
What goes wrong is that when you are going in for a stern-on mooring and using the thrusters. You then stop the thrusters and all the power goes to the prop. Bang!!!! You get all the power astern. Been there - got the hat and the tee shirt.
The newer boats have stainless steel at the back of and to the side of the cooker, so I would presume that there is no problem with that. Best thing for ease of cleaning.
I just looked on the Internet at "Smart Lithium Batteries" for marine installations. They are awesome. If Clive has replaced the lead acid with the same size and ammount of LI batteries, the capacity will be fantastic.
I have had Carousel a couple of times and never had a problem with the batteries at all.
We'll be at Acle on the Saturday night and going south on Sunday afternoon. Surlingham on Sunday night and Norwich on Monday. Probably go back north on Wednesday.
from us here in Riyadh. I'd say the most popular moorings on the northern rivers are Horning (all of them), Malthouse Broad and Womak Water. The southern Rivers would be Oulton Broad, Beccles, Waveney River Center, Reedham and Loddon. My opinion only.
