  1. to the forum Ric. Is that short for Richard or Eric? Not all of us have boats. I am just a humble hirer.
  2. I never sign off Grace. I just shut the computer and when I open it and put my password in, I'm right back to where I was on the forum. It's always worked until now.
  3. We're up that way at the beginning of April and I'll stop by to say hello. We hope the "boss" gets better.
  4. We wish her well Andy. Not much fun being a permanent baby sitter when you have a business to run as well.
  5. What goes wrong is that when you are going in for a stern-on mooring and using the thrusters. You then stop the thrusters and all the power goes to the prop. Bang!!!! You get all the power astern. Been there - got the hat and the tee shirt.
  6. I hope you're correct, because that's a popular mooring.
  7. I think the facility at Bramerton has been removed. (someone please correct me if I'm wrong)
  8. The newer boats have stainless steel at the back of and to the side of the cooker, so I would presume that there is no problem with that. Best thing for ease of cleaning.
  9. Sounds good to me John. Maybe we will start to fly in a day early from Saudi and give it a try.
  10. Nigel. I'm sure you will enjoy your trip and the forum. We are there in April and can't wait.
  11. I send that email to myself everyday.
  12. OK, then we can give her it in kit form with a big tube of glue.
  13. Well, that's Grace's present sorted.
  14. I just looked on the Internet at "Smart Lithium Batteries" for marine installations. They are awesome. If Clive has replaced the lead acid with the same size and ammount of LI batteries, the capacity will be fantastic. I have had Carousel a couple of times and never had a problem with the batteries at all.
  15. We'll be at Acle on the Saturday night and going south on Sunday afternoon. Surlingham on Sunday night and Norwich on Monday. Probably go back north on Wednesday.
  16. We are on the water from the 2nd to the 9th April aboard Richardson's Commodore. What are you on Adam and welcome to the friendly forum?
  17. Both nice also. Out here, the most popular are Chivas and Black Label. Anything else is rare.
  18. Famous Grouse is my favourite blend. It was my father's favourite and his father's also.
  19. to the forum HakunaMatata from us here in Riyadh. We must find a shorter name for you.

    Moorings

from us here in Riyadh. I'd say the most popular moorings on the northern rivers are Horning (all of them), Malthouse Broad and Womak Water. The southern Rivers would be Oulton Broad, Beccles, Waveney River Center, Reedham and Loddon. My opinion only.
  21. Hi Q, It's 10 degC here at the moment and supposed to go to -1 and -2 overnight this weekend, so will be colder than the UK. lol.
  22. A Broom 35 coupe with twin engines (not too big) and a sea going hull. This is my dream and then I can do the Broads and the coastal sea.
