After many sad weeks. The beach has re opened. The Lifeboat is able to go back on station. Its not the end of the work that still needs to be done to protect the beach, but it's a very good start.Hopefully more will be done.So if you are close by why not call into the shop next to the Lifeboat station there's new stock, and have a chat with the volunteers there.
Moored many times at Oulton. They are very helpful. Gus New Inn now Ferry at Horning. Will the service be as good at Ranworth?.Moored at Reedham a number of times, often the BA chap seats and watches. Not always helpful.
It's my hope that the whole question of fees, remain live. Many of said and unfortunately I agree ,many will visit this year and pay.As I said if there was good facilities. I would be happy to pay,but there's not and it's a question of fairness.
Is there a chance of fees at Ranworth and Reedham be overturned? There is no doubt many disagree with charges but will it in the end be accepted by most? In my opinion if all groups that represents many concerned with boating combined then perhaps could put pressure on BA to overturn fees ?
I posted photos last week of the new bridge in Great Yarmouth. Known as the Herring Bridge. It appears that when closed, its 9 inches short in the middle.Due to the cost of the bridge,it been suggested that traffic travel at 35mph to get over the gap.
So mind the gap!
Can agree moving from our home in Belvedere to here, after 24 years. Was stressful.I hope the building work Helen is dealt with soon and is as painless as possible.
When we've moored at Oulton,Beccles and Norwich. Not moored at GY for many years. At the other three got a ticket which put in the window.Theres always a few that come in when no ones around and leave early.Think however there may well be more then a few now.
Went to see the lads at Broadsedge. They've started on white paint.Looking good new door ready to fit.Boat won't be ready for Easter,no worries we want it's does right.Which it is.
A few photos.
I don't think it's a question of cost, but a question of fairness. If and I hope not, they charge for moorings at Reedham and Ranworth. Which I think is not needed.BA are not strapped for cash.If it happens will they look at other free moorings and bring in a charge. Yes they would.
