Chains do have a place.They often take on pubs that perhaps would have gone.Yes not always top quality,but often affordable. Pubs in Norfolk and Suffolk are far better then many pubs in London. Many pubs we go to here are more welcoming.
Let's think for a minute.Planes lading on Aircraft carriers are small.Think C130 Hercules have landed on carriers a few times.If Airlines were to us.They would be the small.So as I said.Is it April fools already.
True we as a nation don't visit pubs as often. Growing up there was pubs on every corner.However as I've said recent years have knocked Enteraining for Six.
Recent years,covid cost of living has had a big impact on pubs,Restaurants. Staff were layed off,many never returned. Very true Grace.Often sadly pubs replaced by houing or other uses.
Just found out theLion at Somerton will close Tomorrow . We had been there a few times intending to return soon,enjoy the food and hoped to return. So very sad another pub closing.
Southwold and then call into Adnams. North Norfolk Railway.Lunch or Dinner then in Aylsham. Get the clipper from Lowestoft. It calls along the coast to Martham. Calling at GY,Caister,Hemsby.

Some years back,about five years ago.I helped a boat moor at the Reedham Ferry Arms.Rope in hand walking backwards,part of the wood gave way.One leg in the water.I still helped the boat in.No harm done.
I understand its early days.However many pubs now seem to relay on burgers and ribs. Menus can be varied and small.
I'm more then happy to offer my advice.If they so wish.I have worked for a few years.
I know there's a lot of tongue in cheek. The bridge is Potter and has been around for many years.It is worth keeping.With out the bridge or replacement,would lose some of its character I believe.
