  2. We moved here 18 months ago.As a child first boat was from Martham. So full circle. We love Norfolk and very happy here.Our boat is at Stalham.
  3. Probably a bit late.Would be very good attached to the Broadcaster.

  5. As I've said we met Alan and Tan a few times.We had a lovely evening at the Ferry house Surlingham. Mooring next to one another. Like Iain.Real broads lovers.Very knowable and very likeable a real shame there gone.Remember Alan sort out the boats up top.RIP Alan.
  6. I paid my tolls last week.The news sheet enclosed said mooring fees at Ranworth were not confirmed. Yet on Facebook someone said they are.Does anyone know if fees are or not in place.
  7. Very sad to hear this news.Saw on Facebook earlier. We met Alan a few times always enjoyed times with him.
  8. I don't have long covid,but have COPD. Recovering from Cancer. At times my mobility is not good.I just take my time and rest when ever I can.As others have said there are very nice holidays let's and house boats available. You will know your ability. Hopefully you can find something that suits you.

  10. Just got back from Yarmouth. Very cold,lots of snow not laying thank goodness.Big problems at Hemsby.The inshore Lifeboat can't launch. Sand taken a few weeks ago. Then since last night strong wind and springs also today.Some residents there are in temporary accommodation.
  11. There was a piece on the one show I think a few weeks back.About half of all the boxes have gone.Think they do need some protection.
  12. The lads at Broadsedge have done a great job.
  13. Call in the shed with some bits we got yesterday. Another blue top coat.Two more to go.
  14. In fairness they did some work on her.We would have re updated the galley and shore power. Don't know why they didn't put shore power inin.Yes Mermaid is getting there. Spent money yesterday getting trimmings for her. For sure the most expensive lady is a boat!
  15. We hope she gets a good home.She looks good.Thought they would have put shore power. If we had kept her that's what we would have done.Its clear they repaired the nose and deck.
  16. Carole,think worse weather predicted next week.The following week doesn't appear to be as bad.

  18. We called into the shed.First coat of blue paint.Two more coats to come.Looks very good.New curtains ordered.Being made in Gorleston. All good.
  19. I've been very lucky.I've tasted some of the best wines money can buy.Now wines are available in supermarkets,that are of a very good quality. Fred book gives a balanced view and as I said cuts through the bull.As he said at the end of the day its a drink.I would add.Enjoy wines that you like and makes you smile.
  20. Little trip today for Marina and I.First time since December to Norwich. Little book brought. A very good book on wine by Fred.Ive lots of wine books,this is good at cutting through on bull.
  21. No you don't want to be on the broads mid winter.Too many river monsters.They wake up in winter.They won't be happy if too many boaters around.

  23. We travel to Potter by car quite often.It takes longer going over the new bridge.The bus also goes over the old bridge.At present its diverted .
