Hmmm not enough info on the page for my liking, I would happily support this kind of thing if its a non profit just providing a service type affair(if I won the euromillions I would fund allsorts of things like this on the broads). Not had the slapping thing keeping me awake but one September night moored at Ranworth on the main front a storm blew up with the wind blowing onshore and the transom fender kept riding over the quay heading......thud......thud....thud.....all bloomin night Now most of you will be thinking why didn't he get up and sort it out? It was Mum n Dads boat and the fender ropes were spliced on both ends......

Are the broads actually man made though? Now before anyone starts I do know that they were formed by the peat diggings flooding but I believe the actual rivers were already, naturally, there yes? So my question is were the diggings flooded on purpose(making the broads definitely man made) or did they flood as a result of something more organic such as water levels rising over time or say a one off flood event? I think they have stopped it now but our customers used to get a survey at the desk, then our company would send them one then the manufacturer would send them one, so 3 surveys for one visit......crazy. I think its time companys got a bit of self confidence, trained staff properly,used good business ethics to provide value and just binned these surveys off altogether. I either ignore or give top marks regardless of how I feel. I dislike the surveys as I feel they are often used as leverage by those who are 'on the make' and staff are often paid on those results making it all a bit fake imho. Personally I have no issue with charges being made for moorings, it is the right of the leaseholder or land owner to do so. I dont generally use those moorings myself as I feel it adds cost to an already expensive pastime, but that is my choice. What I object to in this instance is the aesthetic of the thing and it just seems to be 'Bad Form' in my opinion. Just wanted to clarify as theres seems to be some stick grabbing confusion...
