  1. It's lovely to watch one of these type threads live, I remember reading the 'B.A' to the Thames one(elsewhere of course) years after it all happened and wishing I had been able to follow it as it unfolded...... Hope it's a pleasant and straightforward journey, have fun folks!
  2. https://www.norfolkboatsales.co.uk/used-boats/alphacraft-42-blenheim-655.as Seems she is for sale as well?
  3. Parkeston Quay is known as Harwich International Port nowadays, Stena do still operate the ferry to the Hook but only traditional type RoRo(albeit new)not the HSS anymore. Other stuff operates out of there too but not 100% on details these days. The old quay actually in Harwich still operates too, Jags n Land Rovers, JCB n similar was going from there but not looked properly for a while.
  4. Pity Parkers Guide doesnt list the 535 Sunliner mpg figures........
  5. Ooooh that's interesting....in the cockpit of my (plastic) boat there is a drawer and on the bottom of it is written "Craigmore"......I suppose it could have been salvaged from an old woodie at some point perhaps?
  6. Should you chaps for any reason find yourselves having to stop or take refuge in Harwich(or Shotley for that matter)during the trip round to Norfolk then please feel free to shout for any assistance you may require, I live locally so might be able to help in some way or another..
  7. My Land Rover Discovery seemed to have one of those cloaking devices, given the number of people who would merrily pull out straight in front of me at roundabouts n such. As for overtaking on the Broads going past on the port side always feels right to me but I take each situation as I find it... Griff I always found Triumphs own Race Cans were good de-cloakers on my Sprint RS and Daytona...
  8. Milwaukee do tools that you can track n remote disable, not sure how it all works but it would be very satisfying to disable whatever had been nicked.....
  9. I was so young back then that I hadn't been born...........
  10. Had a good look but I can't see any differences??
  11. Plastic Padding do a gel coat filler that I have used on a few bits n bobs around my boat, seems to do a decent job but never used it on anything external......yet
  12. HAPPY NEW YEAR to one and all, hope 2018 is great for everybody!
  13. Ooooooh there! Didn't know it had a name, usually occupied whenever I chug past, it looks a lovely spot mind you, thanks for the reply
  14. Ahem.....where is Johnny Crowes staithe?
  15. Taking my own boat through Potter ranks pretty highly along with the fact that I was finally able to spend a night on her the same weekend(although I must admit to having a support vessel as well). Hopefully she will be all finished early this coming season and then who knows what's next..
  16. Well if I smoked I reckon it would be time to fire up a Hamlet cigar......
  17. Haha, I'll keep them peeled for the fenders n jetty, strange to think that I could owe my very existence to the people and boats of Broadland though...
  18. I would agree with the comment about the extras disc, very interesting and well worth a watch. Oddly enough I am yet to see the actual film but I'm quite looking forward to it, particularly because my Grandfather was one of the soldiers rescued from the beach.
  19. None recieved but I gave my niece Coot Club and The Big Six, along with Swallows and Amazons to get her started
  20. I have a set of lights that have an inbuilt timer, once switched on they run for 6 hours, turn off, then restart themselves 24 hours later, just wondered if yours have a similar feature?
  21. Happy Christmas you lot, hope its everything you wish for and more besides!
