Sardines and herrings belong to the samefamily of fish. You may hear it referred to as the herring family, but their scientific name is Clupeidae. Fully grown sardines and herringshave a milder flavor than their canned counterparts.

Fresh soft herrings roe the best taste ever, grilled on toast.

I have been thinking of getting one for the boat to capture some of the strange/ funny antics you see at the buisy spots.

She looks to big at first glance. It's good for us novices to see what will go through.

It would be handy if everyone who has taken their boat through Potter posted what type of boat it was and whether it was really tight or a bit of clearance.

I have drained mine & opened the water feed remaining water seemed to run out ok.

LOL for me all jokes are ok as long as they are taken as jokes. But that statement could also lead down a path we don't want to go as well.

Good photo. I hate to disappoint but it is not an albino. Although it is white it has dark eyes. A lot of them are bred and released with normal pheasants so that keepers can see where the birds are. On a shoot there is usually a hefty fine for bringing one down and a lot of ribbing for the gun that shoots it.

The best advice I was given years ago when we first hired boats was--- WHATEVER MANOEUVRE YOU ARE ATTEMPTING DO IT SLOWLY. It still holds true

It gets worse every year. Bonfire night is still 2 weeks away and every shop has Christmas decorations in. But it's our fault for buying the stuff earlier and earlier. If the seasonal stuff in the shops was not purchased 2 months early the shops would not waste space with it until nearer the time.
