  1. On a more serious note , if you really are interested in who your local MP is and he or she does for you , look here. https://www.theyworkforyou.com/
  2. Did you have to Vaughan? Just when I thought I could not get any more depressed with this country, you post about lovely France. To boot we now have to have an election which quite frankly I dont think anyone of any persuasion wants , needs or requires. What is the point of voting for any of them as they only do what they want to do which is most of the time have a darn good life.
  3. We had on our boat I believe it was called a Spinflow cooker. it was the business. Light in the oven, automatic ignition. Hubby fitted it but then we had a Gas Safe chap from the boatyard came and set it all up for us. Cost around £700.
  4. Taken just two minutes ago....
  5. One of the best rugby matches ever.
  6. Back up and running again. Thank you.
  7. Looks as if those gremlins have been about again. I cannot get this lovely web cam to work at all today.
  8. Looked for a Welsh flag in the emoji but cannot see one.
  9. Nothing wrong with a bit of Mouse Trap.
  10. May be a couple of months at The Charm School would not come amiss. As the guy said he definitely has issues.
  11. My suggestion is he goes to Specsavers and quick about it. He could see you from the distance that he was away from that mooring, that you had intentions to stop there. He should not be in charge of a canal boat if he cannot steer in a straight line and know how to bang the darn thing into reverse to slow it down. What does he do on narrow canals when there are many other canal boats about, does he have this bully attitude with them - I doubt it very much because he would soon be put back in his cage.
  12. In the community where we live our neighbours until recently have always been related to each other, brothers, sisters etc so at one time everyone local could afford to buy really nice bungalows. As time has gone on unfortunately a lot of them have passed on, they have been replaced once more with lovely neighbours. You can hear a pin drop here and if someone down the road sneezes we all say 'bless you'. Yes we have a lovely parade of little shops, Post Office, hairdressers, fish and chip shop and a mini supermarket. We are very lucky, coupled with the fact that we have a really good bus service. Would not change it for the world. Long may it stay like it.
  13. And there's more.... https://www.northnorfolknews.co.uk/news/london-couple-living-in-wells-made-unwelcome-1-6335582?utm_medium=email&utm_source=eshot&utm_campaign=newsletterlink
  14. Unfortunately, this lovely new web cam just keeps buffering at the moment.
  15. This one at Acle - sorry if posted before...... https://www.bbcacle.co.uk/webcam/
  16. And fhen some one else has to sleep in that bed. Urgh!!!!!!! Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  17. We had a Cello TV it was very very good. Would give it 5 stars every day. It had the ability to store its own battery while plugged into the mains to enable you to watch it when you did not have the mains and save your boats battery. It also had a DVD player and a huge screen.
  18. Do you need to take your own hose?
  19. Coded the loos , while on one hand a good idea but what happens if I as a local person needs to 'go'.??
  20. As I have gone through life I have noticed that if I ask for a quote from someone and it is far beyond what anyone would pay for the job, I know they just dont want the work. Same here, £70 for a pooch, yes they do not want dogs. At the end of the day it is not the dog it is the owner. Most owners take their own towels and blankets for the dog or dogs and they clean up well. It is shame that as per usual the few have spoilt it for everyone else. Do tell is there any smell worse than wet dog? Nice answers please!!!
  21. Of course that should have read 'meet' you lot on a dark night. Sorry.
  22. Some folk have been known to down 3 2 ltr bottles in a day - that I personally would consider going over the top. That is 3 2ltr bottles of water be it still or carbonated , you takes your choice. I would imagine if it were carbonated you would be burping and even worse all day long.
  23. You should always carry water with you and keep sipping it through the day. Some folk over do and to drink too much , and I mean an awful lot can be even more harmful. Happy medium.
