  1. You can get tablets for that - on the NHS too, now. Works wonders for wrinkles too... well, some wrinkles
  2. The only firm in Norfolk that I am aware of is Becks at Rollesby http://www.becksmotorhomes.com/ and Simpsons in Gt Yarmouth http://simpsonsmotorhomes.co.uk/
  3. I thought that 'gingers' called themselves 'strawberry blond' now....
  4. You already do..... if you're a toll payer that is...
  5. Believing that what they tell you on the hand over is all you need to know!
  6. .... that'll start! http://www.edp24.co.uk/news/car_plunges_into_river_at_thorpe_st_andrew_1_4717549
  7. Not likely they were from Norfolk.....
  8. I have , on a number of occasions moored alongside cruisers moored at demasting pints in order to demast. I have rarely encountered any strong objections, announcing that " I am just laying alongside to lower my mast". Usually shames them without any explaination....
  9. Was much intervention by you involved over the course of the update Iain, or did it run without any involvement required from you ?
  10. JM, I have learned from here (and elsewhere) some boaters just love toys and gadgets. Nothing wrong with that, just so long as they don't expect everybody to follow suit. After all, we might just want them all to have to learn to sail
  11. Granddaughter (four and a half) from the back of the car to my son, driving :- " I've found a piece of toilet paper daddy". Son replys " Have you? Where did you find that ?" Granddaughter. " Up my bottom " There wasn't an accident, but only just
  12. Thanks Iain. Odd that it showed as 'my' quote.
  13. Not sure how the quote about pubs in Wells became attributed to me .... I have no recollection of such a post . I did, on that day comment on why I won't drink Green King brews, but nothing else. Perhaps the tekky team could investigate....
  14. Your choice - provided you don't kick up a 'wash' and spoil things for the rest!
  15. Indeed! It was. Since the 'guilty party' was not keen to 'fix it' , he now uses one of these http://www.anodeoutlet.co.uk/fitting-instructions/57l-hanging-anode-range/
  16. Tell that to a friend who moors 'somewhere in Horning' !! His boat was launched with a full set of brand new anodes. It had to be lifted again a little over a month later, and was staggered to find that they had all gone!! A thorough electrical inspection of his craft (12 v only, it has no 'mains' ) established that there was no fault, and that the problem lay with someone nearby! Shocking - almost literally !
  17. Not joking there...... But I am fed up with people, in general, being over the top PC and taking offence at just about everything ! Humour! If you don't like it, have a quiet little 'tut' and move on!
  18. I couldn't agree more Charlie! I have written to the BSS people and asked why some time back, perhaps a couple of years ago. I got a wishy washy reply along the lines of 'we are looking at this' ! Well, they are taking a very long time to act. Perhaps a few more questions of them on this topic here http://www.boatsafetyscheme.org/contact-us/ would not come amiss!
  19. We could start with those who had a moan about 'jokes'......
  20. There's one on the Northern rivers (a triple decked Broom 42) that would struggle to get under Acle Bridge. As for Vauxhall - not a CHANCE ! Twin engined and very big ones by the sound of them, that on tick over ( all it is allowet to have any chance of getting down to speed limits) emit clouds of black smoke!
