  1. Here's a question, Why or how do hire boats or ex hire boats such as HJ11 get away with no anodes?
  2. If we are in a position to join you I would like to go down the Crouch to Burnham or even down to South Woodham Ferrers (my home town). This is where I spent many years water skiing at my club.
  3. Subject to having a suitable craft in August, can we be added to the list please. Boat name Unknown, probably Happy Jax. Alias: The Wannabee's If not, If Barry is Maveric, can I be Ice Man.
  4. Just picked up on this Andy, this has to be every boat owners biggest nightmares. I am so glad for you that you managed to catch her before going down. Although you have damage to the carpet in the front cabin, you have to thank your lucky stars it is limited to this, it could have been a lot worse. At least now you have the piece of mind knowing what the leak is. Good luck on Wednesday and do hope the repair is not to extensive.
  5. How is the thaw going, or isn't it.
  6. Lou and Jay are very skilled at breaking ice. What time shall I drop them off on the 31st.
  7. Great pictures Mark Very chilly indeed.
  8. Not if they see you first.
  9. Welcome to the Forum & the Broads Brian. Hope all goes well with the move.
  10. Welcome to the forum Heather. Best way to keep tabs on the old man one thinks. Just ask Loops
  11. Great stuff guys. Sorry I missed it, but England did win the Rugby.
  12. I didn't know you lived in a beach hut Simon, must be cosy with Dylan as well. Some good shots there Simon, good to see you are up and about again.
  13. Caught this shot early Saturday morning in the eye of this weekends storms.
  14. Trimed great there Barry and looking good, ill have you next time though.
  15. Slippers, not a problem. Gagging Lou is the task ahead.
  16. We are up the boat this weekend after a four week break. Reedcutters sounds good to me. Got to catch up with all these new Birchwoo's on the scene. See you all at the weekend.
  17. Hi Andy Have you thought of going down the route of replacing with a modern equivalent, Nanni or alike, they are much quieter and far more economical.
  18. G11 or not Perry, still very impressive. The last picture looks like a scene from the film Independence day. Are we under invasion.
  19. Difficult this one, as you know I am looking at various types of boats to eventually replace HJII. I am still undecided weather to go planning or semi-displacement. Sealine, Birchwood or Fairline. Boats built between late 80's and late 90's I believe Sealine have the edge on design and finish. If you compare models such as the Sealine 330 statesman and the Birchwood 330 challenger my personal view is the Sealine has the edge. However, the Birchwood TS 37 has still not been ruled out, especially if we go the SD route. I would also prefer shafts rather than drives. This weekend had a look at a Sealine 350 statesman on shafts that would suit us perfectly. Mind you, after visiting the boatshow this weekend and looking at new boats, on compairing three 42ft models, Sealine, Fairline & Princess, Sealine wouldn't even be in the running. To be honest if I could afford the like, I would be ordering the Princess.
  20. Unfortunately due to personal reasons we are now not able to make the Birthday Bash this year. A close family event has come up that we are unable to get out of. We have tried but you now how it is, have to keep the peace and all that. We were all really looking forward to getting together with you all, but I am sure we can catch up another time. I am sure you will all have a great time. Barry if you could be so kind and remove the Happy Jax II crew from the listing.
  21. Fantastic log of events Ian, Keep it coming. Col
