Certainly looks chaotic at Wroxham. Just snapped this at 11.15am on the webcam ... and that's before today's hirers pick up their boats from Barnes and NBD and get out on the river!!

Well it now looks the complete opposite. Must have been a mad moment with boats arriving into Wroxham that were picked up yesterday perhaps. On the webcam now there is just one boat about to moor at the pilot's pickup point before the bridge ... and nothing else moving apart from all the swans.

Richardson's have 120 boats going out this afternoon with another 80 on Monday so it's going to be busy on the Ant this afternoon.

According to one of my neighbouring berths when I called in to pick up my camera I had left onboard, Richardsons were missing one this morning, failed to return.

Don't know but friends have just whatsapped they saw an empty Richardson on tow across Barton. So maybe "what was lost is found" ( biblical)

Sounds like a case of severe engine failure if it couldn't be fixed in situ. What a shock for the subsequent hirers if they arrived and no boat available. I hope all worked out for them.

I'm sure that a company with their reputation will make sure that the subsequent hirers will be happy bunnies. It's how a company reacts when things go wrong that defines them.

As you say MM, its problems can happen to the best companies, but its in their reaction to those problems you can see the difference between a good company and an excellent one.

That was me in the middle in the wooden one trying to get through the bridge. They were all trying to pick up a pilot.

Barry, I can understand why you would go through on your own, after all to pick up a pilot you generally need to raise your skirts and show a bit of ankle
